Eve has waited til everyone is gone, to waylay JJ, tell him his piece was beautiful, then to warn him again about staying away from Paige, but JJ has nothing to say to her, says he doesn't have to talk to her and won't. Eve begins berating him, Paige arrives. (She had run into Cole, who has made restaurant reservations for their date tonight, suggests a movie, & she suddenly remembers something she has to do, tries to call her mom). When Eve sees Paige, asking what she is doing there, Paige was looking for her. Eve tries to get Paige to leave with her, and pretends that she only was telling EJ how beautiful his music was. Paige wants to talk to JJ alone, Eve leaves, reluctantly.
She tells JJ his piece was wonderful, he talks of fixing the bridge as she had suggested, she says she remembers when she first heard it. He begins begging and pleading again, loves her so much, big mistake he made, blah, blah. She doesn't want to hear it, has to go, he wants her to meet his at the bench in the clearing where they used to hang out, so he can explain. *(egads, how many times is he going to say the same thing over and over). She just leaves. He mutters, "well, she didn't say no).
Brady is at home, a bit out of breath after his run, has come in via French doors (how convenient!) that he leaves open. Clint comes in easily, pulls his gun, Brady's back is to him, and shoots.........a dart into Brady's neck, and down he goes. (gee, seems to me we saw this with Eric, didn't we?) Clint takes Brady's wallet, tosses it after extracting the money and pocketing it. He then puts a strip around Brady's arm, ties it, then pulls out a hypo. He seems to be withdrawing blood.
Melanie & Theresa once again get into it at the hospital, with Theresa doing a great deal of insulting to Melanie, Daniel arrives, Whoaaah.......Theresa leaves, Daniel confronts Melanie, who claims Theresa started it. He wants answers, why was she investigating, she has to go, is meeting Brady at his house. Well, Dan is going to see Maggie, so he will ride with her, she can explain. Evidently she does, letting him know that she dropped it all after finding on the internet that Mandrake was a fertility specialist. (she does NOT mention Nicole). They are now at the mansion, go in, find unconscious Brady, call for ambulance, check him out, etc. etc.
Later, at the hospital, they are at bedside, waiting for toxicology, Brady finally comes to. He remembers his run, coming home, that is all. No, he took no drugs. Honest. Daniel gets a call, preliminary results are in. He leaves, she assures Brady she believes him.
Theresa comes home, Clint is waiting in the hall. She is going to change clothes, and they can then have some fun. She goes to change, he pulls out the vial of blood with Brady's name on it. Out comes a hypo, a vial of clear liquid, he fills it, stashes it all back in his little bag. She comes out in a slip, and they go at it on the sofa. In the throes of passion, while kissing her, he reaches down into that bag, and pulls out the hypo.
Hope & Abe are at DiMansion, all set to arrest Stefano, who is not there. Harold comes in, asks what they are doing. They make up some story, he lets them know everyone is not home, and they should leave. They do, Hope has figured out how to find the board meeting. She makes a couple calls to people.
Meanwhile, at the board meeting, a very angry Kate is accusing Stefano of setting her up, she mentions Victor. That girl wonders why she sought out the "enemy", but Kate claims Victor called her with the info that Stefano was looking to buy the tech company himself. Everyone is talking, is not happy, she put them in a bad place, SHin will be livid, will leave the board. One guy leaves the room, another thinks it is time for an immediate change in CEO, and nominates Stefano. Kate protests that they need 2/3 majority, and Shin, who holds a lot of stock, isn't there. But, the guy who left now returns, having Mr. Shin's proxy. They take verbal vote, all say aye, Kate says nay, and Chad...he says aye. Now a guard comes in to escort Kate out, they cannot conduct any further business with her there. She says they are all going to now be getting exactly what they deserve. Well played, she says to Stefano, and she is gone. Stefano has called Shin, smoothed things, talks of negating the sale, all is well. Everyone eventually leaves, Chad stays, a bit ticked at why Stefano did not warn him. Stefano says he doesn't trust him. That though he has forgiven him, he always will for his son, the trust has to be earned. He tells Chad he has to grow up. Chad mentions being out of a job, but no, he is to come to work every day, learn the business, so he will be all ready to assume his place when the time comes.
Eve finds Cole, soft soaps him with how glad she is he is dating Paige, he had better not hurt her, or else. Yada, Yada, Eve's usual warnings.
Abe & Hope are in the square, along comes Victor, Hope is glad Maggie got him out for some air. Small talk, Abe mentions Vic knowing Judge Pierce, tells him of the stay so Stefano cannot be arrested. Vic wonders how he could do that, the D.A. is down there fighting it right now. Hope doesn't want Vic to do a thing. Kate arrives, can tell them exactly where Stefano is. They leave, she sits with Victor, he learns she is out, but figures she will just wait for the right offer to come along. Vic mentions how well Lucas is doing at Mad World, Kate starts to smile, Vic says "but you would not want to usurp your own son, would you? Kate starts to say a "but"......however Victor gets a call, has to take it.
Abe & Hope rush into the board room, saying Stefano DiMera, you are under arrest. But the chair turns and it is Chad. Ooops, you just missed him.
Victor is on the phone with Stefano, saying something about all going as planned. Yes, perfectly. Victor chuckles, Good. Are you in the air. Oh, yes, he is. Stefano says he owes Victor, who replies that yes he does. Just don't you forget it. Stefano replies, not to worry, he won't forget. He hangs up, looks around the plane, smiles, sips his brandy.

And won't the awesome Dr. Jonas find a puncture mark on Brady's neck where the dart got him? Or is he just going to see the puncture where Clint took his blood. Not really sure where this is going. I can see Brady's blood, Kristen wants to be sure it's his child but why Theresa?
but surely the inconsistency is going to have to seem glaring. Oh wait, this is Paige we're talking about here so it's not like she's going to notice when when Eve starts saying "Sweetheart, why don't you spend more time with Cole? He seems like a really nice boy." Besides when you're beautiful like Eve is you don't need to be consistent right?
