Good show, title should be The Day of a Miracle. John & Marlena are in the waiting room, John wondering what else they can do. Brady is on every donor list imaginable, they have talked with every specialist there is, and worn out the chapel with their praying. He wants to now go be with his son, Marlena is going with him.

Chloe is surprised to see Eric, who is blocking the door to Brady's room. She needs her keys, will be gone. He keeps saying she cannot go in, making various excuses. Outside the other door, Jennifer is attempting to distract Valerie, who wants to go check Brady. She claims she is doing a story on Brady, to attract sympathy. Val says he doesn't need sympathy, he needs a heart.

Inside the room, Nicole is pleading with Brady, she & Holly cannot do without him. She came to say goodbye, just cannot. She is crying, begging, and suddenly Brady's heart rate goes down. The machine notes the numbers. Val & Jen enter, as do Eric & Chloe, with John & Marlena coming in as well. Nicole doesn't move, she is crying, tells Holly that they have to now say goodbye. Brady flatlines. Nicole sobs, no, no. She places Holly on Brady's chest, next to her daddy's heart, so they can all say goodbye. She is sobbing, and suddenly a beep! Another! The machine lights up, the numbers appear, 36, 39, 65!!

Everyone in the room is flabbergasted, John asking Marlena what the heck just happened.

Nicole is joyful, smiling thru her tears, happy that Brady is back, he will be o.k. Val asks all to leave, so she can check Brady.

Outside, Jen knows Eric was praying, they all were, John & Marlena are embracing, Chloe standing alone, astonished. All are hugging, except for Chloe. Val comes out, his vitals are good, breathing a bit shallow, but he is holding his own. Nicole talks of it being Holly who saved Brady's life. She connected with her father's heart, and was the incentive.

Lucas comes into the Pub to meet Adrienne, but gets called to work, someone is sick. He apologizes, talks of having lunch, suggesting a picnic. Adrienne loves the idea, Lucas leaves. Steve & Kayla are there, comes to talk to her. She is a bit upset, mentions the loan they took to buy the paper, was sold to a company called Snowglobe, Inc. run by Sebastian Howard, who now is calling in the loan, and she cannot find him, reach him to ask for a bit more time. In addition, he wants to own the paper. Steve is gonna check on all this. He leaves. Kayla talks to Adrienne, who is worried because as wonderful & patient as Lucas has been, she is afraid to have sex, her body no longer the same, despite the reconstruction. Kayla gives her a nice pep talk, Adrienne feels better.

Later, Lucas comes to her hotel room, 2 bags of deli picnic stuff, but she doesn't want to go on a picnic. He suggests a rowboat ride, nope. She wants to stay there, with him, it is time. They begin to kiss (they are all nice scenes) and then later on, are in bed, both so happy, it was all wonderful. (I am glad they are letting Lucas's tattoo show again). They love each other so much, are so happy, and it seems, they go for round 2.

Steve meanwhile, learns from Kayla, the wonderful news about Brady, but reports that he can find no records of Snowglobe or Sebastian Howard. Later, he even tries Europe, to no avail. Has to be an alias, Kayla agrees, knows Steve will eventually figure out who is hiding behind that name.

Back in the hospital, the elevator doors open, Rafe & a cop exit, along with a determined looking Chloe. Yes, Rafe has come to take Nicole & Eric down to the station for questioning. Nicole defends Eric, he rescued her and brought her back to Salem, did nothing wrong. But, Rafe has to take them anyway. She asks for just a few more minutes, to talk to Brady. Rafe agrees, but has to take Eric, Jen insists on going along. Eric wants a couple minutes with Chloe, says he knows she went to get the cops. Yep, they had to be told Nicole was back. Eric leaves with the cop & Jen.

Nicole goes in to see Brady, sits and talks to him, glad he is going to be all right. She has to go, Rafe is there, but when she gets out of prison, they will be together again. She loves him so much.

At the police station, Lt. Raines questions Eric. He knows Xander Cook kidnapped Nicole & Holly, took them to Greece, Brady asked Eric to go get her, he did, and brought her back. Actually, he gives him a pretty hard time, mentioning him being in jail for manslaughter, a serious charge, doesn't care if Eric was pardoned.

Jennifer waits outside the room Raines comes out, she knows he wants to talk to her, about helping Eric.

Nope, he talks of Eric bringing Nicole back to Salem for them, he & Jen are free to go. Eric & Jen hug.

Rafe gets a call, tells John & Marlena no charges against Eric, they are relieved. Hugs. Chloe stands, looking rather defiant.

And inside Brady's room, Nicole sits, telling Brady she has to go now, Rafe is waiting to take her to the station. She doesn't know when she will be out of prison, but they will be together again, have their happy life, he is going to get stronger, get well, their dream will be realized. Brady's eyes flutter a tiny bit, she smiles thru her tears, he is waking up. His eyes open just barely, but they open.

Thank you, Poirot.

Wow! Now this is a show that I'll watch all the way through online.

So yet another summer mystery to find the "Snowglobe" man. It sounds a lot better to me than the island junk of the younger folks.

Hmmm, is Sebastian Howard someone already in Salem or one of the new characters coming later?

You know that weird eye roll thing John was doing outside Brady's hospital room? That was me during the "Holly's near her daddy's heart" whole thing. Good grief - sorry I chose today to watch; should've stuck to being too busy outside at that time of the day.

Nicole should make a deal, testify against Deimos, and no time served for going to Canada. I wanted her, IF, she has to leave to be happy and in love. This isn't what I meant. Brady will probably be on home confinement, with an ankle bracelet. His health isn't good enough for him to be in the prison system. So, he, Nicole, Holly and Tate will be at the mansion. They will marry, and one day, Nicole will go out to mail a letter. Still wish she could stay!!!!

Guess Nicole's hand on his heart really did heal him. I was seriously getting worried that Brady was really gonna die. I didn't think the actor was leaving but I was getting worried. Does anyone else just want to absolutely strangle Chloe? When she was watching I was hoping she was feeling that Nicole and Holly belong with Brady but nope! She called Rafe.

I am hoping whoever Sebastian Howard is that he catches Hope's eye so she and Rafe will be done.

McGyver, I'm right there with you regarding Chloe! Cannot stand this woman! Send her off the soap never to return, along with her annoying mother.

Poirot, thanks for the summary. Although I suspected it, I'm glad Brady's going to be OK. Of course, the reason for his heart starting was a bit loony. That said, the show really was touching. Not just in that regard, but with Lucas and Adrienne "reconnecting" after her operation. I'll admit that I'm becoming a fan of this pairing. Steve and Kayla were a nice touch too.

OMG, it was a new low in the inglorious history of University Hospital. When Brady flat-lined, no medical team rushed in. Instead it was friends and family trailed by the clueless Dr. Grant who pronounced the poor man dead without even examining him. Everyone should be grateful that TPTB decided to use the "real" Holly today instead of "Doll-in-Blanket," who certainly emits no vibes that could have revived Brady. Speaking of "Doll-in-Blanket," John and Marlena should slip it to Chloe instead of "real" Holly. The clueless diva probably wouldn't even notice the difference.

Regarding Adrienne's qualms about love with Lucas, Sami would probably say that her real problem is that any man who has been with her, the good twin and hottest woman in Salem history, is sure to be dissatisfied with anyone else.

Finally, could "Sebastian Howard" be Andre who's planning to use the Spectator as a DiMera mouthpiece? E.g,, "Hope Brady Murdered the Beloved Stefano DiMera" or "Baby-Faced Sonny Running Titan Is a Corporate Joke -- Wise Investors Switching to DiMera Enterprises."

Steve and Kayla mentioned that Sebastian Howard might be an alias today. I'm wondering if he is actually a she, LOL.

It was nice that Brady woke up today, but I, too, was rolling my eyes along with John at the thought of Daniel and Holly's hearts beating together that woke Brady up. I would have found it more emotional if Brady had woke up with his son Tate by his side. Once again, Tate is the forgotten child and nowhere near his dad during this moment.

Chloe is once again the scapegoat for calling in Rafe. However, I look at it that Nicole knew the risks when she came back to Salem and would be recognized. The nurse at the desk might have called in the police, but once again, Chloe is the one who did it and the one everyone will blame.

I liked Lucas and Adrienne together. I will never understand why the writers do not put the actor playing Lucas on contract. The guy is every bit a leading man like the actors playing Eric and Rafe.

Of course Chloe should be blamed. She IS the one who called in the police, and said so. She was itching so bad to get her hands on Holly, so I am very grateful she restrained herself, and let the good-byes be said.

And yes, Nicole knew she would be arrested when returning to Salem, she only wanted her freedom long enough to see Brady. She understood the risk, talked to Brady of knowing she would be going to prison. She accepted that outcome before she ever entered the room.

And because she did, a dying man was somehow able to gather enough strength to pull thru, despite the claim that he had already died. (Ever read of someone who "came to" while about to be autopsied? It has happened)

Do agree Lucas should be on contract.....but heck, if he is on recurring, but seen often enough.....fine! (I read there are others who are thought to be on contract, but actually are on recurring. Nope, no idea if that is true, or who might be. But with the money problems at Days, I could certainly see that being the case.

DrBakerFan, thanks for suggesting that John and Marlena slip the "Doll in the Blanket" to Chloe. That gave me a good laugh!

On the on the other hand, if they are going to keep using a newborn baby for the part of Holly, they might just as well use the doll.

Valerie has a new look--hairdo, I guess. I like it.

It's a miracle, Brady is alive. Did Holly do it because her daddy's heart is in Brady?
And how many heard Daniel sing "my heart will go on and on and on" just like the
Energizer bunny :)

Interesting Raines talked to Eric and didn't arrest him.

Anyone else notice Jennifer's face when she hugged Eric? It looked like she had
something on her mind.

I thought for a moment that Chloe was going to take Holly from Nicole. I wish
Chloe would remember she has a son and not keep thinking Holly is hers.

A new mystery in Salem, someone named Sebastian Howard wants to buy the
paper. And why the name Snowglobe? Does it mean something to someone in
Salem or the one who wants to buy the paper?

She is a bit upset, mentions the loan they took to buy the paper, was sold to a company called Snowglobe, Inc. run by Sebastian Howard, who now is calling in the loan
Intriguing twist! I am dealing now with the fourth company to buy out my first home's loan. It is called - I kid you not - "Mr Cooper."

I like Valerie's hair.

I have no words for Brady's dumb situation. I was hoping he would die because that would have been unexpected and original. This was expected and cringe-inducing.

I'm truly intrigued by M. Howard and since Steve thinks it's a guy, I'm sure it's a gal. Too much to hope that Sandy Horton has switched from medicine to journalism during her 30 year absence from Salem?

I was hoping he would die because that would have been unexpected and original. This was expected and cringe-inducing.
Have we considered that maybe Daniel's heart was rejecting Brady's body? I mean, Brady doesn't surf, doesn't fake-bake in a tanning booth, doesn't drool over women in hospital gowns, doesn't perform magical surgeries and doesn't walk on water.
