Days of Our Lives - Wednesday 2/15/2012

OK, here's a quick recap:

Ian sneaks into Kate's office as she's on the phone. She turns around and I guess is supposed to be really shocked, but to me, she doesn't look all that surprised. They spar back and forth. She says he left her with no forwarding address. He says she was the best thing that ever happened to him. They had that beautiful time in Paris. Blah, blah, blah.......

There are some scenes of Carrie and Austin in their hotel room after Sami stormed off (Sami and Carrie continued to argue for awhile until Sami finally left). Carrie and Austin just kept rehashing all they've been through and they'll work this out. It was about as exciting as white bread with mayo and a side of plain rice and a glass of milk. Zzzzzzzzzzz........

Rafe drops into the pub to give Valentine cards and treats to the kids. They're all sitting at a table with Kayla. The twins ask Rafe why he's not at home. He stammers that he's away and busy with work but that he loves them very much. Kayla tells the kids to go upstairs and help Grandma Caroline decorate some heart cookies.

Kayla asks Rafe what's going on. He admits to his kiss with Carrie. Kayla says she kind of felt there was "something" between them when she was teaching them the Prince Casper and Princess Miranda dance.

Sami comes in; says it was very nice of Rafe to bring Valentines and treats to the children. He says he loves them and that he loves her. They go outside and go back and forth, back and forth about what happened. He says he'll never give up on her, on them, on their love. She says she could forgive him if it were anyone but Carrie, but she can't. He gives her a long, lingering kiss and leaves.

Jack and Abby are in the town square and he's telling her that he hates seeing his baby so sad. She tells him she's involved with a guy and it isn't going well. Jack turns all "protective papa bear" and says he's joined a support group called DADDE "Dads Against Daughters Dating, Ever", chuckle, chuckle.

Just then Austin and Carrie come walking through the square. Carrie is instantly worried about Abby being so upset. Jack says she met a guy who isn't treating her well. Abby and Austin stare laser-beams at each other. Jack asks Carrie to talk with Abby about her boy troubles. Carrie tells her basically that any man who doesn't treat her well isn't worth her time, as Austin looks anguished and Abby has crocodile tears brimming in her eyes. Austin says something lame like the guy probably thinks the world of her and never in a million years meant to hurt her.

Oh, and Madison goes to see Brady. He's outraged that she'd show her face and tells her that from now on, Henderson will know not to let her in. She tells him she DOES love him. He basically tells her to stick it in her ear. She says she owes her life to Ian. He said she told him everything, about her mother, her mother's death, taking care of her siblings, but conveniently left out she had a husband. It's one of those conversations that just goes on and on and nothing is really said. She leaves.
