Morning TB and Sunny. Looks like a lot of folks are otherwise occupied today, huh? I've been busy today, kind of a surprise for a Friday. It's a nice sunny day, though a little more seasonable temp wise, it's in the lower 30s. I'm getting a hair cut tomorrow and hoping to put finishing touches on the new church website. Have a good day all!

Good morning. Got a bit of rain last night, but not the storms that were predicted. Seems like that will happen this afternoon, probably just in time for picking up Annabelle from school. I took a quick peek at the dogs this morning and seems like another puppy died. Jet had four. Two have been smothered, one met a worse ending, and the last one is MIA. It was a bit too dark this morning in the shop to see, so it still could be around. I've got to finish up laundry and then I'm doing nothing for the rest of the day. The weather is muggy and gloomy so I think that's affecting my mood a bit. I hope everyone has a great Friday.

Good morning. I was in at 5:00 and that was definitely too early for everybody. Rocky, that is sad about the puppies. Life in the animal world can be cruel and sad.

JenLe, I'm glad you are having some mild weather to enjoy.
Oliviaunt, enjoy your sunshine. Hope you like your haircut. Have you done that straightening thing again? What was it, a Brazil-something or other?
    Sunny, enjoy your tea.
Debbie, thanks for starting the thread. Have a great day!

We didn't get any rain at all, Rocky. Talk about much ado about nothing. Still have the clouds though. All the system did here was give me a migraine, which just won't let up. I'm hoping the sun will come out soon and that might help.
    Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Morning, everyone! Was on here earlier, but Rachael turned the computer off before I could even read a single thread, so now that she's occupied with Sesame Street, here I am. Spent the morning making a grocery list plus a list for Sam's Club shopping today. Also looked through cookbooks for a strawberry pie recipe for my Mother in Law's birthday next Saturday. Finally found a Strawberry Chiffon Pie that looks pretty good. It uses low fat ingredients & the whole pie is under 250 calories, so I guess she could eat the whole thing if she wanted LOL:p

TB--thanks for starting the thread. Hope your breakfast was great!

Sunny--hope your spot of tea was lovely.

Oliviaunt--Enjoy your sunny Friday haircut (3 of my favorite words all in one sentence!)

Rock--Poor puppies! Oh, how that breaks my heart! Know what you mean about gloomy weather & mood--blah. On the bright side, some days it's good to do nothing!

    JenLe--Enjoy your mild weather!

    OC--Hope your migraine gets better!

Happy weekend everyone! I'll be at work:cry:

    I'm baaaaaaaaaack!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for not being around this week. I was working at our agency in Philadelphia while we were taking over the admin of an agency in an adjoining county there. I had no internet until early Thursday morning, but no time to get online. I couldn't even get into our servers back here in western Pa.

Got home around midnight to find a mouse caught in a mouse trap part way behind a shelf in the basement. I put on disposable goves to get rid of the thing. When I started to lift the trap out, there was a horrible hissing and screeching. I LET GO IMMEDIATELY, AND RAN. I got the trouble light out to shine under there. IT WAS A BAT!!!!!! That isn't even the worst of it........It was caught in a mouse trap. Nope, that's not right. It was caught in TWO mouse traps. It had a wing in each one, and the dang thing was alive. I called my friend Jim, and woke him up. Bless his heart, he came right over to take care of it. He took the traps offthe wings, and carried the bat outside to place on my big tree stump. Jim thought that the wings were broken. The creature is gone this morning. I have no idea if it was able to fly away or if the great horned owl got it. I really don't care which just as long as it went away.

It looks like I have tons to catch up on here, but too much to do today. It'll have to wait until the weekend. MIssed you guys.

Yikes, Shirley! Did you get any sleep at all after that wild adventure?

Beautiful morning here. Cold tho'. Heavy frost. I love the fact that the sun is now starting to rise around 6:30. The best thing about February is that days are noticeably longer.

Good afternoon. Lil0, I also like that the days are getting longer, slowly but surely. February is usually pretty nice here, for the most part.

NCR, ha ha, I hope your M-I-L doesn't eat the whole pie all at once. Even though it will probably taste good enough to do so and though the calories are low, it still might not be a great idea. Sorry you have to work this weekend.

Shirley, you really should write a book of your adventures! As if disposing of a dead mouse isn't distasteful enough in and of itself, a BAT, and a live one at that, would send me running! Catching a bat in two traps, one on each wing is as bad as me catching a rattlesnake right in the middle with the capture stick--both ends of the snake flailing around. I'm so glad your friend was able to come over and take that thing off your hands! I once caught a bird in a mouse trap but it wasn't scary, just sad. I bet you were ready to settle down with your glass of wine after that was all over.

The sun is out now and I'm cautiously optimistic about my head. The pain isn't completely gone but I'm hopeful it is winding down.
