Huge breaking news!

I have heard mostly good things about Ron C, and really, only glowing love for Sheri A. However, we all have likes and dislikes. Some folks adored EJ (gad, I hate even writing his name) and some disliked him with a passion. Same goes for Jack, Carrie, Andre, Will, Chloe, Eric, and the list goes on. The characters are diverse, so are the viewers. Many loved the Possession story for Marlena, & others did not (including me). Some thought the sun rose and set in the love story of Bo & Hope, and others just never felt the same way. (both actors left the show for several years, returning at different times, so that probably was a factor as well)

I truly am looking forward to what these writers will be bringing to the table for Days, and am glad they are all aboard now. Welcome and

It's very good to hear that somebody is coming on board who created beloved characters. Recently, viewers have been treated to characters they couldn't even love to hate -- they were just boring and/or detestable: slimy Dario, pyscho Summer, loony Lani, etc. And hopefully, when notable actors like Kassie DePaiva (Eve) or Melisa Archer (Serena) are signed up they'll actually be put to good use.

I don't know what was in store for Kassie dePaiva, (Eve) but she was on contract, but became ill, so whatever it was, had to be changed at the last minute last summer. She wrote of her diagnosis on her blog, but has not added anything more since last Aug.

Sheri Anderson Thomas posts message on my Facebook page!

Was just checking the new messages on my FB page now and saw that Sheri posted this:

This makes me sick. I get it if fans don't like her. I'm not a fan either and I'm glad she is experiencing some karma after firing so many fan favorites over the years. However, this is also a human being and some of the comments I've read, especially on twitter are disgusting. Save the nasty comments for message boards that allow it (not here of course) or for your private conversations. Don't say it directly to her.

From the archives. Sheri Anderson's first script as head writer. Episode #4171, April 19, 1982.

Here's a look back at Sheri Anderson's first script as head writer from April 19, 1982. Included are the cover, cast/set list and taping schedule. Note that Herb Stein, who is still with "Days", directed the episode (although he was not yet a full-time staff director on the cover sheet).

To clarify: I have nothing but praise for Carlivati's time on One Life to Live; I felt it was some of the strongest storytelling the show did during the 17 years I watched. And I have yearned for an '80s Days writer to come back. This excites me greatly.

History has shown that good writing and correct pairing can make me like even EJ.

Good grief, stop with all the Hope and Rafe hate. Bo liked Rafe and approved of him being the one for Hope to move on with. I like them together, since I can't have Bo and Hope ever again, I am pleased to see her with Rafe.

And no, you can't "erase" Bo's death. The actor NEVER wants to come back. And Peter Reckell is the ONLY Bo I ever want to remember. So please, please, respect his wishes and leave Bo dead. Rafe is just fine for Hope. I'd like to see some happiness.

Television for me is my break from reality. I understand soaps need that level of sadness to create the drama, but I need more happy scenes please. I need for Nicole to have her baby in her arms sooner rather than later. Chloe is on my last flipping nerve will all of this. Sheri, I sure hope you can fix this!

I'm excited to see what Sheri does do with the mess being handed to her from Higley. Best wishes to Carlivati as well. I'm excited to see his take on things as well. Change is good. Fingers crossed for more happy! I wish Dena the best of luck in her future endeavors. But please, for the love of Days, stay away from Days. Your tweet says you are never coming back, and I really hope you stay true to your word.
