:beat: Why are hope and marlena having these flashbacks? Hope has no reason to even think about ginas past. and is marlena really worried because mind warped john and gina did the do? does she think hope and john being alone might activate some chip in their brain and they fall in love?

and they are still saying stefano wayyyyy too much:zip:. what exactly do they think he can do with some stupid alimania license? shame the adulterers? john would be rich again if he got a dollar every time marlena called that mans name.

did they say carly went back to alimania?

I think Stefano has all of his perceived enemies embedded with a chip that he can access at any time for any reason. We knew it couldn't be as simple as Hope and John just going to Alamania and getting divorced, so there has to be a big surprise in store... good or bad!

    I'm sorry.
    I wasn't watching when John married Hope/Gina (?)

Can someone give me the Readers's Digest version?

    Thank you.

P.S. All I can think of when I hear the name is: Alamania some sort of take-off on the Alamains from General Hospital?

And since when are they all close enough friends with Carly, Nick and Vivian that they could just pick up the phone and expect their help? Laughable...

I like the nod to past history of the characters and it does help new viewers understand the story better.

John and Hope destroyed both their brainchips last time.
I hope they are not going back to the brainchips thing again. That's crap.
It was bad enough the first time.
    Glad I'm not watching this.

@Dana......John & Gina never were married that any of us saw. Somewhere here, someone has done a Digest version of the story, which is long and convoluted. But Kristian Alfonzo played old real Princess Gina, brain Chipped fake Princess Gina, old Gina pretending to be Hope, Hope pretending to be Gina, and then Hope herself. Twas amazing performance on her part. If I find the post...will let you know. Oh, and Bo was a brainchipped mime...in Paris. LOLOL

I think they were just trying to see if Carly or Nicky knew of anyone in Alamania who could help them (since they had lived there and were obviously important in that country).

Alamainia was a poorly chosen name for the country from whence Lawrence Alamaine came, and was eventually pronounced Prince/Ruler.

Alamainia really is a terrible name! How many people have a country named after their families?!?! As for the chip........if it means Rolf is not too far behind I could go for it one more time!

Well, maybe Lawrence's family took their last name from the country they ruled. Kind of like how Prince William goes by William Wales for his job.

I laughed when Hope was like "Oh yeah i called Carly blah blah"...didn't she despise her the whole time she was gone? lol

Anywho, I'm liking where this story is going, i feel like this is all a history lesson for me to catch up on some old school storylines.

I think by the time Carly left, Hope just felt bad for her. Hope treated Carly decently when Ciara was missing (when her and Theo ran away) and Carly showed up (higher than a kite) to offer her help in looking for the kids.

Hope was also grateful to Carly for being so nice to Ciara when she was in prison.

And Carly and Bo left on good terms, and back in the day, Carly and John were friendly when they were near sibs-in-law (John/Izzy B and Bo/Carly days).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the name "Alamainia" just come up? I don't ever remember anyone on the show's calling the country by its name - it was always "Lawrence's Country" in the 1990s, I thought???

From what I can remember, it was always referred to just as "Lawrence's country".

I'm pretty sure Alamainia (sounds like Beatlemania!) is a new term.
