Turns out, it was just a rumor that many of the outlets reported. She was at the studio when the Christmas episodes were being taped, but it was because her real life daughter was one of the kids at the hospital for the reading of the Christmas story.

I don't think it was reported by many outlets. That Soap Opera News site started it and then fans started running with it on social media as fact.

When I went to the Eric Martsolf (Brady) and Greg Vaughan (Eric) fan event in October, a woman was actually trying to convince me this was true based on that site's post.
