Interesting that the only, and I think the best, episode this month today, Nov. 30, had two women listed as both director and writer.

Tis interesting to see the list of writers & Directors. Albert Alarr has been with Days forever, and is also an Exec producer. David Shaughnessy is the brother of Charles, who plays Shane. Scott McKinsey is the son of the beloved and wonderful late Beverlee McKinsey (who played the glorious Alexandra Spaulding on Guiding Light). The Cullitons, husband & wife, are terrific writers, who have been with Days a long time. Lots of new female writers. Episodes done by Lisa Connor are usually very well done.

David Kreizman seems to do the shows with some sort of violence in them a lot.

I know most pay no attention to who wrote and/or directed, but I usually check for the dialogue writer for the day (last one listed) when the show has been really good.

However, one has to take into consideration, the way Days cuts scenes out, puts scenes filmed on 2 or 3 different days together for one show.......thus there may be one director & writer listed, but there some scenes may have been done by a different pair. The other consideration is that Days has their "one take" thing going, so Directors don't get much of a chance to change an actor's interpretation of a scene. So kudos to the actors, who have really been fabulous of late.
