Last night I attended a fan event on Long Island, NY with the actors who play Brady and Eric. Now I've met Eric Martsolf (Brady) several times but this was my first time meeting Greg Vaughan (Eric). It was a meet/greet with refreshments. Some random observations and thoughts.

Greg Vaughan (Eric) is very charismatic and lively in person. Nothing like Eric at all. And he gives awesome bear hugs.:) He knew my name by the end of the night.

The guys get along very well and both are really funny. I think they may be friends offscreen.

Both were very tight lipped so not much spoilerish out of it. But both admitted that they've taped scenes with Olivia Keegan (Claire). Separate I think.

I also get the feeling that Eric may be headed to the back burner for a while. Just my guess based on things he said. He didn't outright say this.

Someone asked about Chloe and they both stared at the ceiling lol.

I asked about Belle and Shawn coming back and they seem to think this is still not publicized. I mentioned that Brandon Beemer (Shawn) had posted a photo from the set but they still wouldn't say anything.

Eric Martsolf (Brady) joked that the makeup department doesn't like to be bothered with the open heart surgery scar so that's why we never see it. I was glad he was aware of this issue.

Greg Vaughan (Eric) filmed Friday's trashing the cabin scene in one take, including the cake. He talked a bit about how he mentally and physically prepared for the scene. He walked through and helped position things a certain way beforehand.

A few of us told him later he should submit this week's scenes for the Emmys and he said he never submits himself. He feels everyone should be rewarded equally. I told him he should still reconsider.

It was also mentioned that Melissa Archer (Serena) destroyed the elephant in one take as well.

I'll try to post a few pictures later but I know our friend @ASpotAbove posted some videos on Twitter so you can see them interacting together.

Thanks Heather.

It looked like a small crowd. Do you think that was better so you could
interact with the actors?

I think it was about 30-40 people maybe? We were in the Concierge lounge of a hotel so it was a little tight actually. There were 3 separate events: the meet/greet I went to, a casino night afterwards and a brunch today. I only had time for the meet/greet as I was only home for 18 hours between 2 trips.

Lisa does a great job of her keeping her events intimate and well organized. The guys were also awesome so everyone had ample time to mingle and get autographs and such.

Keep Eric on-screen I say. I think it's time Brady go to rehab for awhile, at least Lucas has some hope to recover from his addiction once he finds Will in Memphis. I don't feel Brady stands a chance whatsoever. He shouldn't be running Titan and personally I think Sonny is too young and overambitious for the gig as well. This is WHY we need Philip back now!

I wonder if it's Eric who ends up with Chloe? I don't see the writers ever restoring the love sick teens we knew as Brady and Chloe when they were actually one of the best couples on screen at one point.

Eric did some great acting this entire week. Kudos to Greg Vaughan (Eric). That breakdown over Nicole and the crying was some serious legit acting, and its rare you see males get that intense unless they are Lucas lol. Pretty smart to plan everything to be reachable fast during the wrecking of the cabin, I'd probably got to excited and got cake somewhere on my outfit lol!

Putting Eric and Chloe together, then having Nicole return, would be about right, but not what I'd want to see. After Nicole and Chloe finally got their differences ironed out and parted as good friends, please, no.

Heather, thanks for telling about the fan event. I enjoyed hearing about Brady and Eric.

Heather wish I was there with you. Greg Vaughan (Eric), is the most handsome man. Love him and wish I had a bear hug too. :hug:ShaSha

Thanks for sharing Heather. Sounds like you had a great time and even nicer it was a smaller affair to interact and chat longer than some other fan events.

I had the opportunity to meet Greg Vaughan (Eric) when the stars were doing the 50th anniversary book tour and same thing. He is very lively and so genuine in sharing his appreciation in meeting fans of the show. He came across as a very down to earth person.

SO glad you had this opportunity.
