Disney & ABC which owns the Soapnet channel are taking it off and replacing it with a Baby channel. Something about entertaining little babies. Yes it sounds odd, but that is all that has been said about it.

I didn't realize that. Thanks for asking creek973, and for the information Poirot!

Luckily, I stopped watching Soapnet as much when they moved DOOL time to midnight (EST) and just started watching it and taking my lunch from 1-2, or DVR it since I have one of my own now in the bedroom.

I DVR Days on Soapnet - we don't get the regular network channels by antenna cause we live too far out and we don't have the package to get them on the dish - hubby WILL NOT get the local channels on the dish for some reason.

ABC/Disney is moving their DisneyJr programming from the regular Disney channel to its own channel, replacing SoapNet. Nickelodeon did the late 90's/early 2000's with Noggin (renamed a few years ago to NickJr). Nice to see ABC/Disney thinking they are innovative.
