Hmm thats odd. First they want him, then they don't, then they want him again, and now he's gone. Well, I can't say I'm overally upset. He was an excellent actor, but the writers did no justice in bringing him back. He leaves as a criminal, due to being a pimp, who's just blackmailed Chloe, and suddenly comes back as this wonderful guy, trying to change himself, who opens a spa, and is then suddenly everyone's friend? Uh, no. I'm sorry writers, but you can't take someone who's a pimp, and then do a 360 on them and suddenly make them this perfect citizen. There has to be a little bit of a transformation in between, ON SCREEN, and not suddenly 'Oh yeah, I'm back to Salem, without Taylor, and I've decided to change my life around and become a wonderful person'.

Perhaps Quinn was a front for Ian. . . and Ian is the real owner of the Spa?

Maybe it will end up being Sonny's new coffeehouse.

You know, I read that somewhere too; however, I have a morbid thought. Stefano is certainly serious about reducing his hours and I don't blame him 'cause he's looking a little around the edges latelyl Purely speculation but what if Stefano gets murdered and Ian becomes the new villain (hence the connection between him and Kate) Just a thought.

@Davidemily - couldn't agree more. I also felt his departure and sudden return was, as is so common in soapland, a cheap affront to anyone who cared about the happy ending he & Taylor had had. (Although, frankly I couldn't care less about either of them - but moreover to the point of their being another casualty in that leave happy/come back alone soap trope.)

@icecat - wow, that would be awesome!! As long as we get a visit or a mention from his mamma - that would make me a happy camper!

@tennisdoc - isn't Melanie a nurse? And wasn't she studying to be a doctor at one point? Maybe she should follow her mom to Europe and complete her studies there (JMO).

Maybe Lexie can convert the Spa into a free clinic or something, and Kayla can work there, like the old Days? Then they wouldn't need to explain why nobody was going to the hospital, since everybody lives within spitting distance of HTS, the clinic would be much more convenient.

Frankly, I agree that it's a bit ridiculous that so many of the younger set snatched up jobs at the Spa - but then again, I do like it when they have folks get jobs and talk about money.

On the new pet peeves thread it was pointed out that Salem men who abuse women never seem to suffer any consequences for their sordid behavior. True to form, the writers appear to be parting ways with slimy Quinn by sending him off with Tayhag/ho on the international circuit to promote his tacky day spa concept and peddle Madison's cosmetics. Surely, viewers would have preferred to see a smiling Roman leading the pimpmeister/drug dealer off in cuffs to the Salem lock-up where he then suffers the same violent jailhouse fate as Fake Rafe.
