Salem Couples Storylines

I don't know about you, but I am not happy with all the couple storylines at all.

There are so many things the writers' could come up with other than what they have
been concocting......I find the stories juvenile and boring. Certainly with all the upheavels
all of them have had through the years, the writers', you would think, would be more
intelligent then they have been.

So WRITERS', hope you move on from your current way of thinking with the couples
and be somewhat more inventive with other storylines for Salemites.......

As I have said before, the only storyline I am enjoying is WILL. Now this is
motivating and keeps your attention..........So think NEW and SMART...... ShaSha

We were promised "ROMANCE" with the reboot.

So far, we've gotten Bo and Hope's slammed together reconcilation, which is now messed up with the John/Hope marriage certificate. (and just where is Ciara?)

We got brief glimpses of Maggie and Victor, but we know it's going to blow up at some point when she finds out he had something to do with the theft of her egg(s).

John and Marlena came back to Salem rock solid, he got tossed in jail, gets out, they reunite, but will now deal with the John/Hope marriage certificate debacle.

Jennifer waffles back and forth between mooning over Daniel and sniping at the husband she has loved for two decades.

Abby is in a teeny-bopper relationship with Chad, starts crushing on Austin and breaks up with Chad.

Melanie and Chad are attracted to each other, but she won't be with him because of her relationship with Abby.

Will and Gabi were a cute little couple and they broke up after a disasterous dinner at Maggie's.

Sami and Rafe had a solid marriage, she sleeps with EJ.

EJ wants to be with Nicole, but boinks Sami, then asks Nicole to get back together.

Carrie and Austin come to Salem, rock solid, then she starts sniffing at her brother-in-law.

Rafe and Sami were rock solid, then he starts with the goo-goo eyes at his sister-in-law.

Brady and Madison's boinkfest is hardly considered romance.

Abe and Lexie, rock solid, but that will probably go down in flames when she finds out about Abe and Jennifer's little switcharoo with the ill-gotten debate questions.

Kate and Stefano barely have scenes together.

Roman...... Roman who???

So really, where's all this "romance" we were promised??

They LIED through their forked tongues and pointy teeth as they sucked down tequila shooters laughing their butts off at the bar.

NO Romance is bad enough, but what really angers me is the BLATANT character destruction being done to promote this CRAPfest. Couples come and go, breakup and makeup, but there is absolutely NO EXCUSE in destroying characters and their history in order to achieve the agenda of the regime currently in place. It's insulting and inexcusable!

My feeling is we could change the name to SIS=Sex In Salem Think about almost every show has at least one
Just Samantha "boinkfest"

if tptb have such gutter minds maybe they should be forced to read some of our stories the writers on this board have done. Then they might have an idea what makes a GOOD story!!!!!

Yes............I totally agree with your reactions.............It is shameful the way they, the WRITERS', are treating them and us............

It is so disappointing to see the Writing Talent deminishing on Days Again............Oh My! What to do????????????

The writing is shocking. Never seen writing this bad on Days before.
The stories are all bad. Too much history is being rewritten.

Well I really like the Sami, Rafe, Carrie, Austin storyline however, I HATE everything else right now....Bo, Hope, John, Marlena is probably the worst storyline I've seen in a while. Austin and Abby gross me out. Not to mention I can't stand the election...

no romance? im guessing you all missed the hot faked teacher-student nonsex, the even hotter drunken college kiss, the marriage saving office kiss, the brady/madi spa rub down and lets not forget all of ejs couch play.

Hi ErinKelsey..............After following these Couples and knowing their stories for so many years, I find the writing irresponsible and childish....Seems to be
no respect for them and their history...........Avid Fan for 40 yrs. or so............ShaSha

At this point, I've even given up hope that our dear Benchie will find a nice little Easy Chair and settle down and have a bunch of little footstools.

I too am extremely disappointed with the storylines the writers are presenting as romance and adventure. To me, it's more a type of desperation writing! They have to know the fans are upset and disappointed so they are afraid their butts will end up in the unemployment line also. So.....in their minds they figure they'll just do what was done in the super years of Days and are just tweeking old storylines. However, that in itself is an insult to the intelligence of the fan base. Just my peception of the nightmare that is on a revolving cycle right now.

Aw, what a cute story that would be.

Yesterday the romantic scenes in bed with BO & Hope were great. Some tender moments, some anxiety and laughing under the sheets. I was encouraged that I finally saw some ROMANCE!

In true Days fashion, Benchie and Easy Chair would be happy together, but Sofie (the DiMera couch) would get jealous. She'd drug Benchie and tell Easy Chair they spent the night together and now her and Benchie are expecting a little ottoman of their own.

Easy Chair would have a hissy and go out and have a fling with the first hot little bicycle seat she could find.

I enjoyed the Bope scenes too. Hated that Hope had John and Hope's marriage license on the night table next to their bed!
