    Stefano should probably be omitted too simply because he has so much baggage. Of the rest, Abigail seems the worst because she is a conniving liar. Madison's chief trangression -- failing to disclose the existence of a failed marriage to a total louse -- isn't so hard to understand; Samantha is simply an unstable personality in action; Carrie is an impulsive airhead (and incompetent lawyer); Lexie is just a self-righteous twit; and Will is damaged goods, suffering from seeing his mother have sex with the Devil and the anxieties of coming to terms with his gay identity.

    Close one between Sami and Stefano - but since Stefano has stolen babies, kidnapped folks, committed rape by proxy and by turkey baster, and also has murdered more than his fair share of innocents, I voted for him. But Sami is definitely the scummiest of the "non-cartoonish soap opera" villains!!!

    Personally, I don't feel Abby or Will belong on here. Sure, Abigail's trying out for captaincy of the ship of fools, but her list of truly scummy transgressions is a short one at best.

    Maybe we need a new poll, "Scummiest Character in His/Her Current Storyline," or "Character I really hate," or some such!! :)

    Yeah, EJ and Stefano both go without saying! So does Nicole, now that I think about it.

    Sami qualifies, but she after all is Sami and we should expect scumbaggery from her. (and I love Sami, LOL)

    I'd say Abigail, not so much because her little scheme is so awful (it is), but because watching Austin squirm is skeeving me out.

    WIll: I included him for the reasons of his manipulation and disrespectful behavior towards of his mother (irrespective of Sami deserving it), the attempted blackmail of EJ and whatever DiMera shenanigans WIll is involved in.
