sure, let Ej "not be Elvis" ... but for the love of Pete, do NOT make him related to any other Salem person... simply make him "no relation to any of the above"...because even Stephano, the villain that he is, is not as bad as Ej, Ej definitely comes from another gene pool...

Maybe they WILL make EJ non related all together so he has no connections at all to Salem Johnny and Sydney turn out to be Lucas's children. Hahaha! EJ, devastated leaves Salem forever!!! Stephano is just as devastated and suffers a heart attack and dies! Lexi yet again cheats on Abe. Abe catches her in the act, through recorded investigation...He forces her out of town keeping Theo himself. BINGO! Demerea free Salem! And before anyone says Theo would still be there, Theo is a Carver not a Demerea. Blood yes name no. Then this would set the stage for a new villian to come to Salem and start a new regime ... Hahaha! Just my wishes lol...

And if all that happened unfortunately there would be no more Days of Our Lives. Bye Bye DiMera's Bye Bye Days!

@Steffee. I definitely disagree with that. A good writing team could bring on a new villian. I think Stefano has been ineffective for a long time now. Except for this 'box' thing that he is currently involved in, he hasn't been doing much at all. EJ is irreplaceable. I like to hate on EJ because I think he makes a good villian, but the show wouldn't end just because he wasn't on there. I remember when Bo and Hope left, I was devastated because they were my favorite couple, but I still watched. TPTB are going to kill this show, not a character leaving.

I disagree the Demereas imo are not the all that ends all in Salem. I know Salem needs a villian but as expressed in other threads...it is thought that Joe/Stephano could be leaving for good soon. Due to his age and health plus things he himself have hinted to. EJ is just so despised by so many Days fans I think that getting rid of EJ would be embraced as opposed to be revolted. I threw in Lexi for my own pleasure cause I don't like her and never have. Hehe

Agreed, there have been long stretches of time without Stefano, Marlena, Hope etc... and the show still thrived. The Alamains and Kiriakises were very worthy opponents given the benefit of good writing. It's lack of creativity and bad writing that's killing this show. They can bring back as many loved and hated characters as they want, but without the support of competent and creative writing behind the acting talent this show is doomed. The current regime thinks that the key to success lies in regurgitating what they think were successful story lines from the past, simply rewritten and put into place without any real rhyme or reason behind the execution. From my viewpoint this is failing epically.

Love it - but I'm OK with Lexie, and Celeste, and even yicky Chad staying in town. Maybe Chad learns DA Woods was really his father after all, and Madeline switched the birth certificate name as a ploy? (Let's forget about the DNA tests - Days usually does when it suits them, so I'll play in kind.) I don't even care that it's probably not possible that Lucas fathered Sydney - wasn't really tuning in regularly at that time - I'll take it.

I agree - I'd love to see the John as Ryan Brady BS retconned, oops he was an Alamain all this time - bring back Vivian and Lawrence (it wouldn't have been difficult for him to have faked his death, and Vivian already hated Carly before Lawrence "died") and have them be the baddies again. I always thought Lawrence was a slightly more three-dimensional villian than we've seen lately, fleshed out by the betrayal of his aunt's hiding Nicki all those years, and the tenuous relationship he had with Carly as they tried to civilly raise Nicki together, separately. The way they make EJ "likable" is to have him spend kissy time with his kids, or by having him walk by his future sisters-in-law in dewy slow-motion one-shots.

Fascinating - it would be a great story, but I think too much for Days given Joe's current workload - my guess is he'd probably just say something like, "I am the only DiMera! I made this family what it is! There would be no DiMera name without me!"

Hmmm. We seem to have a trend developing. Lexie is soooooooooo good she can't tolerate a devious Abe, so Abe is going to have to grovel. Austin soooooo remorseful will be begging the angel Carrie to forgive him. Rafe groveling at the feet of Sami and begging her forgiveness. Lexie, Carrie and Sami all on the high ground??? I think not!! What is wrong with this picture?
