    SOD: Jack and Jen Clash

An excited Abigail informs Jennifer and Jack that Madison has offered her a job to model for Mad World Cosmetics. Jen disapproves, fearing what Abigail will be exposed to in the fashion world and advises her daughter to focus on her studies. "It becomes a big family dispute," previews Kate Mansi (Abigail). Things get heated when Jennifer tells Abby she'll have to move out if she pursues the gig.

Jack intervenes on Abigail's behalf and notes that he and Jen have raised their daughter to make good choices. "When Jack stands up for Abigail, it's completely unexpected," notes Mansi. "Abigail feels like she never has anyone on her side. But at the same time, she is happy that her father is supportive and giving her mom a different perspective. It's an interesting position for Jack, who was gone for so long, to take the lead as dad."

Matthew Ashford (Jack) points out, "Jack shows Abigail that he has the ability to give her space. He's not in opposition to Jen. He tries to give Jennifer a broader picture."

 jen would kick her daughter out for being a model? i could understand the anger if she was going into nude modeling or had to do immoral and filthy things but shes going to be putting on makeup....come on now jen calm down.

so we'll get to see jack again. glad he is remembering that they a child and now she is an adult who can make her own decisions. to bad they are going with daddy issues as the reason for her wanting austin

maybe she'll move out anyways to prove to austin she is an adulto_O

See, NOW Jen seems out of character. She would be supportive of Abby, although not totally agreeing with her choice. I am surprised.

I don't think Jen would kick her daughter out for being a model. I think she worries that Abby might become enamoured of the life style, neglect her studies, drop out of college. Or perhaps that she is trying to stretch herself too thin, between studies, the job with Professor Austin, and the modeling.
We don't know how the conversation will go, but we all certainly heard Abby telling Austin about traveling to Europe, seeing old friends there, etc. (how do you travel to Europe for photo shoots while in school?)

Jack is BACK! Loved him the other day with the vets in the PTSD storyline. The Jack that tries to run, as Marlena pointed out, chose to be courageous and face it head on. So glad he stands up for Abby - he is right to let her make her choices and then deal with the consequences. How else do we learn? And, okay who stole m Jenn?

Barb, surely you must know that for a Salemite to travel to Europe (or anywhere else for that matter) all they have to do is use the magic portal of the Horton Town Square Arch! It will instantly transport them wherever they want to go!

Ok who's the alien in the Jenn suit. She is unrecognizable now. I'm so glad Jack will be the supportive parent. Now they just need to bring home JJ.

I've been been saying this since Jen came back...the person we think is "Jen Horton" is a clone..Jen is being held hostage herself somewhere. I'm surprised Jack hasn't noticed since it's already happened before a few years ago. If she isn't a clone, is it menapause? Her mood swings, anger issues, trouble making decisions, mistaking DrTansAlot for the love of her life... lying and cheating to get ahead... kicking her daughter out of the house? Who does that??

Hey, now THERE'S a story Days might do for Jen...I can't remember any of the females on Days ever even mentioning menopause. Or is that written into their contracts? LOL. (I remember a character on GL who did...hey, Jen can can some pills from her trusty doctor friend. Oh, shoot, he is off finding himself, isn't he? Well, there's always Dr. Lexie, she'd probably help l,2,3 since she is so happy Jen is helping Abe.
I found it truly hard to believe that Jen said she would rather Abby have been pregnant than modeling. Wonder what she will say about the over twice her age professor???

I think that they all should be made to go into early menopause....'specially Sami!

and Jen said what about Abby? What decade is this?

Jenn's comment, to me, was a comment on Abby's future pregnancy storyline. Jenn will have to swallow those words with a hard lump!

What Abby pregnancy storyline? Surely not by Austin - this would be a travesty.

Which GL actress had that clause? That's a great trivia factoid for my brain to hold on to, instead of Algebra.

Some previews, Jason, indicate Abby fakes a pregnancy to entrap Austin.

If Abby fakes a by Austin pregnancy, you'd think he would recall this has been done to him before. Or this will be a case of those who forget history are doomed to repeat it.

Actually, Jason, What I meant was that GL did the story once with Kim Zimmer (Reva)....and I was sort of joking about actresses having it in their contracts that there would be no menopause storyline for them. I do remember one of the soaps had an actress who had it written into HER contract that she could never become a grandma. And no, it wasn't Days or GL.

There are several comments in the spoilers threads SarahBeth. I don't claim it is true, just that some fans are upset about even the idea of it. And I am one of those fans.
