Today was Sonny's day to shine and shine he did! He knows...you can see in his eyes...he knows what Will is going through. He described his history...all those things he had hidden away when he was a kid and how he finally had to make it clear to everyone. I could feel his happiness in just being alive and enjoying himself, fully knowing that he could never have hidden it any more.

I think that he wanted to ask Will, "so let me know when you'll come out and I'll be there for you, friend."

Will is fortunate to have Sonny there for him...I hope it helps him to make his decision to go public. It's time.

The scenes between Will and Sonny were really well done today.

On a side note, it was nice to hear one of Sonny's brothers mentioned by name (Alex; the oldest son).
    JasonDíSpeech and Muzzaman appreciate this.

Without saying those exact words, I think that's exactly what Sonny said to Will and I also think Will knows Sonny will be there for him! I was so proud of these to actors today, not to mention the writers and how this story line is not being rushed and exploited in one of Will's emotional outbursts. It's important for Will to know who he is, have the information he needs and have a friend by his side when coming forward to family and friends. Sonny is perfectly written to also show Will's family that being gay is not all negative. Good script, good writing, very good acting.

I agree. The writers did an excellant job with what they gave Sonny to work with and he performed very well. The things that Sonny said to Will were reassuring and very honest about his experience with coming out. It was done in a sensitive way and in a way that was expressed that this was his experience and he said how lucky and fortunate he was to have such a great family. I especially liked that he said he didn't want to be anyone different than who is now..... and everyone whould have the freedom to be who they are.

Will will now take what Sonny said and really think about his words and how they impacted him.

I was not sure how I would feel about this s/l however it is being done in a good way and I think that the actors are doing a FANTASTIC job any "sensetive" subject needs to be told in a sensetive and honest way. This and the story with Jack (ptsd) are both being done well so  to the writers and actors

The only negative I fear about Sonny standing with Will when he "comes out" so to speak is that Sami will have a nitfit and beat on Sonny as being the "troublemaker"... she always find someone to blame...who better than Will's friend?

I would not want to see Sami beat on Sonny in any way, he has a strong support system that might just make Sami think twice if she tries to say Sonny influenced Will. I think Sami is going to do what Sami does best, blame herself and turn Will's coming out into it's all about her instead of standing by Will.

Watching Sonny for me is like watching paint dry. He's too vanilla. Not only am I not interested in the story I think it's about time they show that Sonny is just like every other person. Meaning he's flawed, he's not perfect. So let's get the coming out done with. yeah yeah the acting is good but the story bores me.

I can't think of one story that's really thrilling right now anyway. They have potential, but the writers are not doing the actors and stories justice.

I think Sonny is a cutie so I like scenes with him in it! I thought the actors did very well with those scenes.

To me Matt Ashford shined as Jack yesterday! He was his old better self with Jenn & Abby. Just loved him!

    I miss Sonny's parents!

Yeah, they said it was Devil Wears Prada, but it was an introspective or director's cut or something.

Man, I hhonestly never heard the word Devil. It kept sounding like Give Me Prada, and I could not figure out what they were talking about, because I have seen Devil Wears Prada, whatever they said really puzzled me.

It seems like they are handling this story with time and care, without rushing things, while still keeping it interesting ... unlike some other stories I can think of (*cough* Alice's key *cough*).

Do they split up the storylines between different writers? It just seems like some stories are done really well, while others ... well, I think we've covered that topic on here rather well ...

That's a very likely direction - and I think we will see that given the conflict between Sami/Will.

Meryl Streep retrospective, which was capped with Devil Wears Prada. Which to me, would seem like an odd choice, but oh well....great scene and terrific acting, and the name drop of Alex was icing on the cake. Days like this are why I stick through the muck of Rafe/Carrie Sami/Madi Abby/Chad (and, soon to be, Hope/John - feh).
