YOU THINK IT MAKES NO SENSE???? I had a doctor's appt at 1pm...came back home at 1:45, just in time to see Will tell his mother off! What a wonderful day that makes it! And, then she rushes to the office to be first to tell Rafe what happened (her version anyways) and guess what she saw?? THE KISS!

Gloriosky...if that's what I get for going to the doc's maybe I should get some extra mammograms??

And how does that make that kiss MAKE SENSE outside of DA PLOT??? My point is that them kissing made NO SENSE (especially in the context to who Rafe is and had been before the HACK job started!!) Which IMO has nothing to do with Sami finding them kissing.

the kiss still makes no sense. whats the kiss for? and why are they so passionate about it?

sami seeing it only makes it worse for rafe. he had even less of a reason to be in carries face than sami and ej did

The thing is, at that moment, Rafe does not know what Sami did. And there they were, all happy to have finally gotten a paying case...the hug was one thing. And if they had just lightly kissed and then backed off, sheepish....that would be another. But that kiss went on and on and on. I have a feeling that if Sami had not come in when she did, the desktop would have gotten a workout of the kind for which it was not intended. :zip:

Thank you. It makes no sense at all. And Rafe not knowing what Sami did with EJ means it makes even less sense.

Does not make sense...agreed. They are so happy that they were able to help someone save their marriage and went on about how he was faithful so they decided to be unfaithful?!

Rafe and Carrie are both married people, who claim to love their spouses. But are acting like a couple dogs in heat. Lucky Sami came in with the bucket of cold water, or adultery would definitely have been the word of the day.

The scene was so contrived, and they don't even do it well! Their flirting and hugging seems poorly timed and they look so uncomfortable and awkward together, like two actors that hate each other in real life but have to do romantic scenes together, they're just not believable! IMHO :D

It looked that way because that's exactly what it was! Simply put there in order to fulfill an agenda without logic or real build up and totally out of character (as far as Rafe is concerned).

I said in another thread that the next case they won they would kiss on the cheeks. I missed by an inch or so.

I could not believe my eyes when they kissed. That was not 'we won our first real case and are so happy'.kiss. That was a 'I'm in love with you and I finally get to kiss you' kiss. It made me sick because I can believe Carrie doing something like that but Rafe?

I wonder if instead of Sami coming in they had Will come in and what he would have done? Would he explode? Or would he just say screw it and walk away from the whole family?

Wow - just watched the epi on soapnet. What can I say?

Rafe/Carrie help a woman prove her husband is NOT cheating on her and then they lock lips forgetting about their own partners? And it was a strong lock!

So many things about Rafe and Carrie bother me. The chemistry (in my opinion) is absent. They do appear to like each other. I get that. And I think there is some lust/attraction. But for them to kiss the way they did today is out of character. At least for Rafe. He loves his wife. He may have had some recent disagreement with Sami about her job with Kate and her spying for Madison. But, that doesn't mean he suddenly stopped loving Sami and he is going to kiss another woman. It is not the Rafe that has been presented to us the past 3 years. I am having a hard time believing he would do this.
As for Carrie. It bugged me what she said about Austin today. She said she felt lonely. It is my perception that Austin really loves Carrie and has tried to get her to spend time with him. However, Carrie seems to avoid intimacy with her husband. And I am not sure why. Did she lose respect for him when he was working against John? Are we to believe she doesn't love him? Or she has lost interest in him? I am disappointed.
Why am I disappointed? Because the writers are forcing something on us that doesn't fit the characters. It's contrived and a plot device to make Sami look like less of a villain for what she did with EJ. I am so frustrated with the writing.....arrrrgggghhhh!! In the 80's and 90's love stories were written so well, they developed the stories with so much care to the integrity of the characters written for. Not anymore. It must be a lost art.

Absolutely! The writers ARE forcing us to accept motives, flaws, actions that are contrary to the characters/couples we know and love. Most women want to see couples struggle to OVERCOME obstalces.....together.......like it is in real life!
