Back in the 70's and 80's, when TV shows would deal with a serious issue, a commercial or voiceover would say "Tonight, a very special XYZ show" about so-and-so dealing with A-B-C", etc. Ron Carlivati used Blossom (an old NBC TV show) as his example of "A very special Blossom" meaning the episode about JJ contemplating suicide is a special episode to watch.
