I honestly don't recall that, and I'm too lazy to check right now. No matter how disappointed I am with Ron C's writing lately, if there was a small detail like that, he wouldn't overlook it. (That's how we ended up with StefanNo in the first place - one throwaway scene from 1995.)
 
For what it's worth, I searched the summaries for December 2015 (the month after Wendy was killed on 11/24/2015) and half of January 2016 (including on a site that does practically a word-for-word recitation) and found no mention of the police mentioning her body was found (I searched "_body", "Wendy", "midwi" to try to find any instance of her). The last she was mentioned Abby wanted to do something for her family; at the end of December, the stories had switched to the reveal of Thomas's paternity and the death of St Daniel/opening of Jeannie T/Nicole's fashion haus and Ava's craziness.

It's still possible they mentioned it later. I for one am super intrigued and wouldn't mind all of Ben's victims being undone. Heck, we're supposed to care who murdered André, who actually killed people as the Salem Slasher. I wouldn't mind a slightly off-kilter Ben returning to town with all his victims un-murdered. (Remember, he was batty as a loon; anything he said can be easily attributed to his nuttiness.)

Paige's return might make me actually care about Eve again. And how interesting would it be if JJ was torn between Lani, Paige, and Gabi, while Eli was torn between Lani and Gabi? LOL

[Note Paige is not returning; this was speculation concerning Ben's victims only.]
 
Jason, undoing the rest of Ben's murders would be a fine idea. Eve without Paige is untethered and has no long-term purpose. It would also give JJ somebody to long for besides the less-than-compelling Lani. Melissa Archer (Serena) was undone by her relationship with dull Eric and the absurd Fred the Elephant plot. She deserves another, better bite at the Salem apple. And a somewhat psychotic, unstable Ben might add some spice to the Salem scene. Imagine if he heard about how Stefan Zero was treating Abigail and Vivian's rotten son was then suddenly confronted by a glowering/threatening Ben. This would be a lot more interesting than Big Boy Sonny's endless lamentations over Will.
 
She did tell them, but there's no mention of follow-up/finding her body. (I'm avoiding a big cleaning project so although I had better things to do, I didn't want to do them. LOL)

Though, to be honest, I trust your memory JS better than most summary sites. LOL

Here's the last time she's mentioned in the context of the police, from the week of 12/7/2015:
»»When Roman asked about Will, Abigail said that Ben had admitted that Will had discovered that Ben had been the murderer. Rafe argued that Aiden had to have been using the murders as a cover to kill Hope. Confused, Abigail asked what had happened with Aiden. Roman changed the subject to Wendy. Abigail started to cry. Abigail told them what had happened with Wendy. Justin assured Abigail that nothing was Abigail's fault.««

I'm also intrigued by the possibilities. Ron Carlivati has taken throwaway lines and turned them into months of good story (on OLTL and GH - not so far here). Perhaps I am getting my hopes up too much?
 
Jason47, JS, and Barb, I have a question for you. I've read on another Days board that there is a rumor circulating about Gilles Marini possibly joining Days as a recast EJ DiMera. Does anyone know anything about this?
 
The thing is, someone can suggest something.& someone else repeats it...becomes a rumor that it is gonna happen. Have not heard that rumor, tho.
