Sort of a jumble today, will try to make sense of it all. Justin, Kayla & John are moving all sorts of heavy things around, trying to block the vent where the gas is coming in. They reduce it, but eventually fall victim, all are out cold, when suddenly Roman & Hattie burst in (no, don't know how they found them). They try to bring everyone to consciousness, nope, Hattie says they are all dead, but they all come to. John wants to rush out, look for Marlena, Roman says no, they have no idea about the gas, they have to get checked out at hospital.
Ben is in bed, prison hospital, Ciara fills him in on all the news (Evan being David's father, all the events) Rafe comes in, is sorry he was so wrong about Ben, Ciara knew he was innocent, but Rafe pre-judged him. Rafe is a cop, yet had Evan taking care of David, did not do a better background check, yada, yada. Neither Ciara or Ben blame him one bit, understand. Just know he will will find wherever Evan has hidden David. Ciara asks about further news on her mom, Rafe only tells of the court order for the MRI, Shawn on top of it all, got her to hospital, but Princess Gina causing a bit of a problem. He leaves.
Ben goes thru a long monologue on Ciara saving him, all she went thru, their love for each other, how his life with her was all that flashed before him as he went out with the drug, their story not over, they both go back and forth with the loving comments, kiss.
At the hospital Chad stands with the pillow over sleeping Gabi, starts to put it across her, stops, drops the pillow, what am I doing. Hears Stevano's voice telling him to go ahead, all that LaFamiliglia talk, even Italian sentence (nothing more important than family), Chad eventually repeats the word, picks up the pillow, as he starts to smother Gabi, Rafe walks in. Chad says just trying to scare her, yaks about all the stuff she did to his family. Rafe shags him out, Gabi wakes up, Rafe is depressed about David, tells her the whole tale of Evan, she is shocked, promises they will find David. Rafe tries to make her see that revenge against people you feel may have wronged you only makes things worse. They argue a bit, but Rafe tells her to remember her daughter needs her, she should think of her. He finally leaves.
Marlena talks to Stevano, telling him more or less that he is fake, that Stefano would never resort to turning Marlena into a zombie, would not want her that way, takes the fun out of the conquest. Rolf comes in, explains how he will give her injection to knock her out, little incision in neck, insert microchip, making her all lovey dovey to Stevano, who is holding a gun on her. Also, it will take a few days to full take hold, but then she will be devoted to Stefano. Rolf has his big needled, aimed at back of her neck.....(yep, right thru her hair and all, lol), but she pushes him and then Stefano, runs to the door, opens it to run, only there is Chad, who escorts her back, she isn't going anywhere. She comments they got to him, too. Stevano says, go ahead. Rolf aims that needle thru her hair. (sorry, that is just too silly, to me).
And being Salem, Justin, John & Kayla are all fine, no effects from the gas, was not a lethal one, just wanted them knocked out. Now Kayla figures she can suture up Justin's head. He protests, she was just gassed, but she is confident, is o.k., doesn't he trust her, blah, blah. Later, he is all stitched up, they talk of understanding now why Steve was so cruel to her, whey he signed divorce papers, did not come to Adrienne's funeral, etc. Justin is asking questions, one can tell he feels a bit insecure about Kayla at the moment. She assures him that she is with him, loves him, throws her arms around him. John wants to go looking for Doc, Hattie & Roman protest, but he is not going home to watch TV. Hattie knows Marlena is a strong person, won't let anyone get the best of her. But John insists he has to go looking, Roman says not alone.
Back at the gatehouse, Marlena is out like a light, face down on the bed. Stevano is ready to claim his queen of the night. Chad says he was unable to complete the mission on Gabi. Stevano says Gabriella can wait. His queen comes first.
