It's still Thanksgiving and an awkward day in Salem.
Kayla is in her office talking to Joey on the phone. She tells him Stephanie and Chad went to Doug and Julie's, and Tripp is with Wendy. She tells him she's stuck at work. She will share a turkey dinner with Steve when he gets back from Greece. She doesn't know when he's coming back home The door opens. (guess who?) It's Steve with flowers for Kayla. Kayla tells Joey she'll call him back. Steve says hi Joey and hugs Kayla.
Stephanie's in Horton dining room straightening up. Chad comes in and says he put the food away. He set aside some for Kayla. Stephanie says it was a fun day. Chad says it was awkward at times. Chad says Everett kept looking at her. Stephanie says no he wasn't. Everett was trying to get along with everyone, Doug, Julie and the kids.
Chad finally admits everyone had a good time. He then says the kids are staying the night. Chad wants time alone with her. They almost kiss when Everett comes in. He's finished the interview with Doug and Julie, the first couple of Salem. Chad says he needs to write the article now. Everett says he's going to and needs Stephanie to go with him.
Xander's at home looking at his tablet. He says Everett needs to talk to the crossword guy to make the puzzles easier. He doesn't know a six letter word for a North American gallinaceous bird. He picks up a turkey leg and starts eating it. (I think that's the answer ha, ha). There's a knock on his door. He takes the turkey leg with him. It's Sarah with Victoria. She came by to give him a surprise, and hands him an envelope.
Alex and Theresa are in Horton Square having coffee. They discuss their Thanksgiving dinner with Tate. Theresa is glad Tate has adjusted to life in Salem. She asks how he's doing with his dad? Is he still calling him Justin? Alex says he's calling him dad. He says it's still awkward, he's not his dad, but he's a great guy. They love each other. Justin invited him to Arizona with him and Bonnie and his brothers. He didn't want people to feel uncomfortable. Alex wants to check on Maggie and Sarah. He can't believe someone kidnapped the baby (it's Salem. It's like a holiday tradition). Theresa looks away.
Maggie and Konstantin are in the K-mansion den. He talks about people telling him about Thanksgiving. Maggie then talks about a Greek festival called Thesmophoria. Then they talk about the Greek myth about Persephone. She was kidnapped by Hades. When Persephone saw her mother, there was a great harvest. Maggie says it's good story except for the kidnapping. (Konstantin has flashback talking to Theresa in her hoodie about kidnapping the baby and wanting Victor's money) Maggie calls him a hero. Konstantin says he's not. He's done something terrible to her.
Kayla tells Joey goodbye. She says next Thanksgiving they will be together. Steve says goodbye too. Steve says he misses Joey. Kayla asks about Konstantin. Steve says Konstantin has an allergy to the truth. Kayla says Steve he already talked to Konstantin about tablecloth. Steve says yes and had a lot of excuses. Steve said he and John found out that he lied about Victor not wanting to pay him back after getting the loan.
The truth is Victor loaned him money and wanted it back. Konstantin had trouble paying him back. It caused a rift between the two men. Kayla says maybe Konstantin lied so Maggie didn't know how bad Victor was? Steve says the little lies don't add up. Steve said the biggest lie is that they weren't the best of friends, but enemies.
Chad asks Everett why he can't write story on his own? Everett says he doesn't need help with the profile. He wants Stephanie help him since Leo was charged with murder. Everett wants the paper to give a response. Chad comes up with a snarky remark. Chad says it's simple, since Leo and Dimitri drove Nicole off the highway. Everett says no. It was an accident and Leo helped deliver baby. Stephanie says she's not a fan or she's defending Leo. She has to protect reputation of newspaper. Stephanie tells Chad it's part of her job. Chad says it's Thanksgiving and do you have to do it tonight? Everett wants something for the morning paper. They both leave.
Xander opens the envelope Sarah gave him. It's Victoria's birth certificate. Sarah replaced the father's name from Rex to Xander. She wants Xander to be a part of their daughter's life. She realized that after Victoria was kidnapped. Later, Xander is holding the baby. Sarah tells Xander that Maggie stepped up security (it's about time). Xander tells her he'll fix the security for when Victoria spends the night. Sarah says she contacted Justin to draw up shared custody papers. She drew up a schedule for sharing. Xander is happy he can co-parent with her. Sarah says maybe someday. Xander asks someday what? They gaze at each other.
Alex can't believe someone would kidnap a baby in daylight. Theresa says the good news is the baby was found. Alex says it was because of Uncle Vic's (interesting he said that) friend Konstantin was there. Theresa agrees. Alex wants to see Maggie now. Theresa is surprised since he and Maggie had a fight over Titan. Alex says he needs to watch over his father's widow. Alex invites Theresa (she has flashback when Maggie saw the back of her when she took at the baby). She doesn't think she should go with him. Theresa doesn't want to intrude on a family moment. Alex says Theresa would be a buffer if things got awkward. Theresa finally agrees to go.
