Killing off Konstantin - how would you do it?

I feel like the IIC (idiots in charge) are trying to replace the character of Victor with Kon the conniver.

Victor can never be replaced.

That's the PRO (Victor) and CON (Konstantin) of it!

Kon is a wannabe Victor.
 
You have a point, soapk.........and it's a big one.

Days has lost important characters, and has to replace them......and so far has been unable to do a good job of it. When they lost Tom, then Alice, one would have thought to use Doug & Julie. Nope. By the time they tried it, Doug was ill, but they still had Julie. But nope, won't use her much, will they. Yes, it is hard. They can't groom younger actors to take over, as they all seem to want to spread their wings, try other things. So, no one runs the Brady Pub any more, Caroline & Shawn are gone.

Bo and Hope were written out as the actors wanted out. Steve & Kayla rarely appear, heck, they try making Steve & John buddies....doesn't work.

But do they bring younger actors on to portray the grown up kids, having adventures, solving mysteries, rescuing each other, just being good friends? So that Salem can continue? Come on, Shawn, Stephanie, Ciara, Johnny, Claire, Will, Allie, Sydney, Zack, Joey, ......probably more, can't remember right now.

Victor is gone, but Konstantin is definitely not a replacement.

Vic was tough, and did not hesitate to break the law, or arrange a payback , but he has soft spots and good side. Kon does not. Period.

Don't know if it is a money/budget factor or inability of writer or casting, but Days needs to step up to the plate and start hitting homers. If they can't, at least 3 base hits.
 
That may be, but there are more younger children of the characters, so just minus that one I mentioned, add others. Days has a lot of grown children they could be using in stories, building up to take a prominent spot in the storylines, and they don't bother. WHY?

Konstantin is far beneath Victor in so many ways, Victor was handsome, sophisticated, fabulously wealthy, creative, a deft user of the English language, and appreciated the finer things in life. In contrast, kreepy K is the human equivalent of a poorly maintained outhouse.
 
And the Kon continued with his plans today, I was actually yapping at the idiot as he tried to impress Maggie, and ultimately failed. Gotta compliment the actor, who is doing an excellent job of making me want Kon gone, and not in a nice way. (Tuesday 5/7 episode)
