As good an actress that Lauren Koslow (Kate) is.........Just cannot abide Kate any more Her bedpost notches devoted to any & every bad guy who comes to Salem is overdone, and even if the other bedpost has the notches from several "good guys", it doesn't help. Sex means nothing to her, except now she gives it for free, rather than the $$$$ in the past.

The attempts at murder, the malicious conniving, blackmail, etc. ...Just all too much. Then there is the chunk of blue hair, the clunky, clangy, excess jewelry. and constant interference in her children's lives...just tooo much, for too long.

I know this is just me......but a little Kate goes a long, long way. And sometimes that is just too much. LOL.

It's funny, because I was just thinking the same thing watching Tuesday's episode. Enough already with Kate sleeping with nearly every new character on the show. She is supposedly a high profile businesswoman; and with her reputation; I don't see how she would get any respect professionally from anyone. I wish they would give the character something else to do.

Lucas & Adrienne have been off screen for so long...it is truly a crime, but also the only reason we have not seen her sticking her nose into their business, whatever it is.

She stuck a knife in her own son's back (Lucas) to take his job....and as to Philip. I don't think she knows yet about Phil's involvement with Deimos......but she drooled at the idea that Deimos poisoned Maggie, and could not wait to climb into bed, champagne bottle & all.

However, Victor is the father of her son, and she DID walk out when she learned Deimos knew Vic was having a heart attack, and ignored him. But for me.......too little, too late.

I think she walked out because she didn't like the way Deimos was eyeing up Nicole. Kate reminds me of the Queen of the Gypsies with all that jewelry and clothes, and that blue chunk of hair is so childish. Kate could leave today and I don't think I would miss her or her bed-hopping self.

I used to sort of like Kate. One of the things that I do like about Kate is that she is over 40 and still has sex, frequently, annoyingly so. It's like the writers say "well, we will give our older viewers someone in their age group having sex, with every single male in town, age is no limit. Well, as long as they are at least 18 and not related."

But otherwise. I agree it's gotten to be a joke. How many episodes till Kate beds the new male on-screen?

They definitely are going for the cougar nymphomaniac angle with Kate the past few years. That's why I thought Chelsea would be a great return, a different story line involving Kate then hooking up with a new guy after Clyde. I liked Kate a lot better when she was with Roman or married to Stefano. I love Lauren Koslow's (Kate) edgy, bitter, and ice queen villain approach with Kate's character.

However I admit I enjoyed Kate in her earlier years when Deborah Adair played her. Just the character of Kate back then was very classy, elegant, professional, manipulative, vindictive, caring but not meddling mother, and FAITHFUL to her husband. Not really a villain but not a good person either. They could always put Kate back with Roman and bring back some of that elegance and not trashiness.

Kate was always the character that I LOVED to hate, her scheming, her vindictive nature, it was all great stuff. Most of the time it came from a place of love, and that's the difference from what she was and what she is. That's whats missing. There's nothing redeeming about her now. She's all about herself now.

Yes, Kate was scheming, for sure. But she did love Victor, but even back then she was trying to run Lucas's life. (Remember paying Nicole $5 million to marry Lucas? ) and then, she tried to kill Victor, set the mansion on fire, but Lucas got caught in that. Victor threw her out, she was homeless, met Fay, worked in the diner. That is sort of when I liked her the best. But, it did not take too long and she was back to notching bedposts, conniving, manipulating, more attempted murder, and the list goes on and on.

While I realize that changes in writers often bring changes in character's personalities, stories, etc., Kate is just tooo one note. At least Eduardo escaped being a notch...lucky him.

Kate is my least favorite character on the show. They basically write her in circles at this point: either meddling, sleeping with someone or shady business deals. I'm over it. The character is way past her prime and needs a rest and a reset.

I'm honestly shocked that she continues to survive cast cuts in an already overcrowded age range yet the 30 somethings on this show are virtually non-existent.

Without Kate there really isn't a female villainess on-screen. Ava is dead and Eve left. Theresa turned a new leaf and Anne is almost non-existent. I suppose Jade is seemingly going towards the bad girl role.

I totally agree Poirot. Kate is a gutter snipe and everyone in Salem knows it. So what I don't get is why the Salemites still treat her with respect and like someone that deserves it. Her escapades certainly aren't a secret and she definitely isn't the least bit discreet with her bed hopping so why does it almost seem she is regarded as someone special?
