Frances Reid, the beloved star of "Days of Our Lives" since its inception in 1965, has passed away. Ms. Reid died on February 3, 2010 in California at the age of 95. Known to millions of fans throughout the world as Salem's favorite grandmother, Alice Horton, Reid was the last remaining original castmember of "Days." JANUARY 2010 NOTES: Suzanne Rogers (Maggie) appeared in her most episodes in a month since October, 2003. Crystal Chappell (Carly) led the monthly rankings for the first time since July, 1993.
UPCOMING: Bill Hayes (Doug Williams) celebrates the 40th anniversary of his "Days" debut in a few weeks. His first "Days" episode aired on February 18, 1970. The script of his first episode will be posted in a few weeks to celebrate his four decades in Salem.
