Ron Leath celebrates the 30th anniversary of his debut as Henderson on July 6. Included in the photo tribute is a photo from his first scene from July 6, 1987 with Wally Kurth (Justin) and Judi Evans (Adrienne) in the original Kiriakis Mansion.

Leath first appeared on "Days" as a cartel member in 1984 and later made one appearance in 1986 as an unnamed servant, but did not make his official debut as Henderson until a year later. Due to some health issues Leath described in an interview with Soap Opera Digest last year, he had to take a break from "Days" for a few years (2005-2007), the only time that he's missed since he first joined the show 30 years ago. Leath is also pictured with his wife, Jan. Happy 30th, Ron!

Henderson has always been a delight, and if I am not mistaken, doesn't live in the LA area, so when he comes in, he has a ways to travel. Didn't you, Jason47, do an interview with him once, several years ago?

Henderson and Harold, the unsung heroes of Salem!
Yes, they certainly are. While nannies, cooks, and maids come and go, Harold and Henderson are there maintaining a baseline of sanity at the often dysfunctional DiMansion and K-mansion. In fact, the arguably worst thing that Deimos did while in Salem was not retaining Henderson when he took over control of the Kiriakis family premises. (Actually, this might be a good thing. "Mr. Leadership," Big Boy Sonny, might have opted to let poor Henderson go during his massacre of Deimos-tainted employees.)

@Jason47.....oops, thanks for the correction. I did remember the interview, sorry for the error with the person interviewed. Another long timer I miss, Dave, the waiter. Maybe he is off on an around the world cruise with Maxine...:)
