Wardrobe AGAIN

My jaw dropped when I saw Gabi in that sleeveless dress. It’s winter. Unless she lived in Miami or Somewhere in the Caribbean that dress was so inappropriate to wear. I wish Days would think. She should be in sweater and or a jacket at the very least.

You want to talk about wardrobe. Well, let's all go backstage and look in the men's closet. The towel!!!!! Seems to be the favorite thing of the writers. Hopefully each man on the show has their own, unless they are all using the same one. Tired of the towel. It should be removed, pun intended. :rotfl:

There are so many things wrong with the clothes they wear on Days. Of course, Gabi's dress was ridiculous considering the time of year. Then again, other things are equally ridiculous. I can't get over the high heels women always seem to wear, for every occasions. Hope, as a police officer (though now she's more of a hound dog whose prey is Ben), Jennifer, wearing them even when she was taking meds for her back pain (still can't get over that one), Sami wearing heels to go search for her smoochy moochy in a warehouse, etc. And the tight dresses and skirts for every day life, even for going at a hospital. I don't think any viewer would mind seeing jeans, running shoes, and a ponytail from time to time. I know I would.

Oh, so agree. People in midwest are wearing sweaters, long sleeves - it is WINTER, for heaven's sakes. They are decorating for Christmas and ...well, eyerolling in 3/4 of the country for sure.

It's 50+ degrees in NY today. But I still think Gabi's attire is inappropriate for Winter.

The show really needs to:
1. Completely overhaul the wardrobe department and bring in people who understand the 4 seasons
2. STOP giving actors in put into their wardrobes. Just give them the outfit and that's it. If this were a Broadway show, there would be no outfit choice.

The thing is, it is winter. They are decorating for Christmas. No one has a heavier coat or jacket, sweater, nothing. No snow on the ground, not even a sprinkle. Too many females in spike heels. Too bad they film Christmas in June. Don't care. Their audience is seeing the scenes in Dec., Jan. Feb. It is 30 outside, I am inside, wearing a turtle neck shirt, cardigan sweater over it. It is 70 inside. But doors open, cold radiates from windows....these people on Days walk into restaurants or homes from THE OUTSIDE carrying something, but not wearing it. but whatever it is, it isn't heavy enough for WINTER!

Why does Sonny keep walking around in suits when he's unemployed?
:rotfl:

I've never quite understood why the wardrobe people insist on dressing the residents of Salem in attire for obviously different seasons at the same time. Gabi with her sundress, while others are wearing coats. This isn't new. I constantly notice how out of sync they are with the actual seasons. It's one thing to pretend it's warm, but if you're going to do that, dress EVERYONE in summer clothes, not just one or two people. It makes no sense!

I also laugh at the fact that people walk around Salem in the middle of the day wearing cocktail attire, or, as someone else pointed out, Sonny is always in a suit when he's been unemployed for quite some time now.

I agree. The towel is fine once in a while, but when it appears on almost every male cast member, all of whom insist on answering the door wearing nothing but; it's just redundant and foolish.

You're right, but generally, if they are wearing a suit, they're going on a job interview, not just hanging around the house. I'm finally glad to see Victor isn't constantly in a suit anymore.

Not necessarily. People wear suits to other places/functions. I just don't see what the big deal is about how people dress as long as their privates are covered. If someone can stand a sun dress in winter weather, why not? It's no one else's business.
