Monday's show started a new day in Salem.
Li is handcuffed in the police interrogation room when Rafe walks in. Rafe asks how he liked his first night in jail. Li wants his cuffs off. Rafe says no. They discuss what Li did with Stefan because he loved Gabi so much. Li knows Gabi is going to forgive him (maybe if Rolf fries her brain). Rafe says he's in jail for the attempted murder of Stefan. Rafe wants Li to write out his confession. Li calls Rolf a liar. Rafe thinks Kristen will testify against Li since he tried to murder Stefan.
He mentions Kristen is missing. (first time this has been mentioned on show. Did she escape? Those Salem cops). Li says it was Kristen's idea to mess with Stefan's brain. Sloan walks in and wants the handcuffs off. Rafe says Stefan was on life support and Li tried to kill him. Sloan says she talked to the DA already. She told Trask that Eric lied that he worked for her. Trask is upset with you and Jada what you did. Rafe gets a call from someone. He has to let Li go. Rafe says he'll get a new statement from Rolf.
Tripp is talking to Wendy in the apartment that Eric, Nicole, and Allie lived in. There are boxes everywhere. Allie is going to have things put in storage. Wendy asks why he came by. Tripp says Steve is in denial that Kayla is gone. Then Tripp says he came to see how Wendy since Li arrested last night. Wendy says Li used to be smart until he met Gabi. Wendy says Salem must have virus that has a person in love with two people. She mentions Chanel, Allie, and Alex. Then Gabi, Stefan and Chloe. (so that's what's wrong with people in Salem? It's a virus. Did Rolf make that?)
Tripp tells Wendy that Allie came with Henry to tell him goodbye before she left for New Zealand. Then he asks who else is in love with two people (is it Wendy?). Wendy changes the subject. She's not sure how she can afford a three bedroom apartment. Tripp tells her he'll take a room. He's not going back to Seattle with Joey. He wants to be there for Steve and Ava. He already got a job at the hospital. They discuss getting a third person and if Johnny would be upset if Tripp lived here. Wendy says Johnny knows we're friends (we'll see how that goes). Tripp cooks an Italian meal for lunch.
Nicole and Eric (continued from yesterday) sit down and talk about meeting 25 years ago. Nicole remembered it was today having breakfast with Paulina and Abe. Eric mentions Roman talked about how he likes Nicole and wants them to be together. Nicole is surprised since he has a girlfriend. Eric says they are no longer together. Nicole asks what Sloan did. Eric says he helped Brady betray her. Nicole says then you're available. He says yes, but you're not since you're with EJ. Nicole says they are trying to figure out where their relationship is going.
Eric mentions he needs to start making peace about his mom. Nicole asks why Roman has a change of heart about her with Eric. Eric says he's missing Kate and probably has regrets they weren't together sooner. Nicole's phone rings, then pings. Nicole doesn't want to stop talking to Eric. It's EJ. He says it's important, but nothing else. Nicole is worried it's about Holly. Eric has a question. Eric wonders if she heard anything about the orchid since she's living the DiMera house. Nicole tells him if she knew anything she would have told him about it. Nicole walks away.
Gabi (wearing a dress that covers her girls) is looking down at her phone. She bumps into Chloe. Chloe is getting back to town after visiting Parker at boarding school. Gabi mentions Valentine's Day dinner and Stefan invited us both. Chloe left town since things were getting strange. Gabi tells right before their love-making he called her Chloe. Gabi is done with him and he's all yours. Gabi says she's sort of back with Li. Chloe is surprised.
Gabi gets his shares and he'll be in jail. Gabi will be calling all the shots and not him. Li comes up behind her and says that's not true. He's out since no charges filed. Chloe goes to the Salem Inn. Li says his ordeal is over and he's free. Li wants to spend their first night together. Gabi is upset and says she'll put him in the hospital. She says she's going to Rafe's. Li reminds her she has to live with him. Gabi says not the hotel. Li says he knows the perfect place for us.
Stefan is still tied to the bed. Brady tells Rolf his clam chowder is outside the room waiting for him. Rolf asks about the oyster crackers. Brady says he got those and he can have lunch once Stefan is cured. Rolf says he has to wait until waffle iron is cool. He's afraid he will create a blackout and Roman will come upstairs. Brady says Roman thinks the flicking lights are from Kate. Rolf laughs and says Kate is as dead as vaudeville. He says no one can bring her back. Well no one but myself (does he know Megan has the three women?)
Stefan starts to wake up. He wants to yell. Brady holds his mouth shut. They have been working on him for 24 hours and no change. Stefan talks to Brady that Chloe wouldn't be happy what he's doing (that's a fact). Brady tells Rolf to begin again. They tape the tongs on Stefan's head (looks like a Batman helmet). Brady holds the melon baller and turns on equipment. Stefan starts shaking. Then stops. Rolf says turn it off, you killed him. Rolf listens and says there's no heartbeat.
Brady can't find a pulse and starts CPR. Stefan wakes up. There's a pounding on the door. It's Rafe (surprise, surprise). He wants to talk to Eric. Brady has his hand over Stefan's mouth and Stefan bites it. Stefan screams and Rafe breaks in. Rafe says let Stefan go. Stefan says they tried to fry my brain again. Rolf sneaks out of the room and grabs his lunch. Stefan runs out after he's released from the bed.
Rolf is outside pub when Sloan walks by. She doesn't want to Rolf sign a new statement. She tells him Li will set him up in a new lab. He doesn't trust her, but accepts the offer.
Eric opens door to his room and sees Rafe handcuffing Brady. Rafe says you're next.
Chloe is in her hotel room. There's a knock on the door. It's Stefan (poor Brady. Stefan will probably tell her what Brady did. Isn't what Brady did to Stefan sort of what Li and Kristen did?)
