I have to go with Tate as the best Alamain at this time, since he hasn't done anything rotten or evil...yet.

I'm going with Vivian and Nicolas only because I love the actors,

In my opinion, John is the best and most upstanding of all listed.
I always liked Vivian until they changed actresses. Then the character became a poorly written and acted cartoon to me.

I agree on the actress change. It was horrible. Louise Sorel is Vivian Alamain in my book. The one and only!

For me it'll always be Vivian. Not because she's a good person, but because she's hilarious! The original actress is fantastic and I'll always remember fondly (and with some giggles) the fall 2010 sarcophagus storyline when I first started watching the soap.

The only true Alamain is Vivian when played by Louise Sorel. The others have been gone so long or were so fringe that they can’t qualify as the real deal. Quinn Hudson rates special mention. He was such a cheap, slimy crook with such poor taste in women (Tayhag Walker) that he’s not fit to be part of any Salem family.

Who is the best DiMera? It’s a tough question.
EJ has the requisite dishonesty, but can’t compare to Stefano when it comes to sophisticated scheming.
Tony is a good guy, but is dominated by his talkative wife.
Sydney has had no DiMera contacts for years and being with Sami so long may have affected her mind.
Zero is dominated by the scheming Gabi, behavior that is highly unbecoming for a DiMera man.
Kritter is a poor excuse for a DiMera — she’s too vindictive even for a DiMera.
Megan is an example of why being truly insane and being a DiMera are incompatable.
Chad, who was raised as a Peterson-Woods, is dull and bland, not a desirable trait in DiMeras.
Johnny is a feckless young man with no career and no prospects. What a disgrace to La Famiglia.
Theo is a total Carver. There’s nothing DiMera about him.

Louise Sorel's Vivian. Her line delivery is flawless, and even while being evil, she is so entertaining, how can anyone not enjoy watching her?
