38 minutes - did you know Chanel had been missing?
Hospital establishing shot: Kayla is upset with Paulina, who is not at all contrite, because you see, her Chanel was missing for all of 6 minutes.
Chanel and Johnny talk about how they can check off being Geiger-countered from their bucket list. They aren’t sure it’s a word or a bucket list item. Chanel apologizes for getting lost and causing her mama to come to the rescue. Johnny says all that matters is that she found you, even if I (Johnny) didn’t get to be your saving hero.
Roman's on the phone telling Sami that Chanel and Johnny are home from the cabin, they are being checked out, and to give Sydney a kiss from him. Kate comes in says "hey." Roman is surprised she’s back from the monastery so soon, then foolishly asks how Lucas is doing? Lucas is living a life of chastity, poverty and obedience and not loving it. Roman tries to convince her it will be changing. (Yeah, Kate, he could go back to living at Statesville where he’d have pretty much the same lifestyle, but it would come with TV access) Kate takes her time to recap the Lucas problems of him being in limbo. She claims to be going insane with the not knowing. Kate is going to the police station to question Harris. Roman wishes Katie good luck.
Horton Town Square at nighttime: Ava and her main squeeze Harris are walking through and spy the sign that the Bistro is closed for renovation. She says that’s silly and recaps why the Bistro is closed, then gets her keys and goes to look for the narco connections book Clyde has requested.
Abe is two-fisted drinking coffee, flashback to dropping off Paulina at the hospital. Kayla walks up. Abe takes full responsibility for Paulina’s escape. He promises he'll keep Paulina in line. Kayla wishes him good luck.
Kayla comes in to check on the newlyweds. Chanel' ankle is not broken, just sprained. Kayla tells Chanel that her levels are higher than Johnny's because she was with Paulina longest. If Chanel feels any weakness, dizziness, nausea to return to the hospital and get checked out again. Regarding the ankle, she should rest, elevate and ice it, stay off it for the next couple of days as much as possible. Kayla then releases them.
Kate walks to the police station through the town square, and of course runs into Harris who is standing outside the Bistro. Harris tells Kate now is not a good time. Kate tells him to make this a good time. She has left him messages and Harris is avoiding her at the pub, why is he doing that? Ah gee Kate, because he doesn’t want you up in his face.
Ava's in the Bistro looking and flashing back to telling Harris about the call from Clyde. She starts looking and from out of the blue, Stefan still with the mustache, walks in and interrogates her. EJ has let Stefan keep the restaurant, so he is doing inventory to put all of the people who worked at the Bistro back to work. Ahh, a true humanitarian that one, Stefan.
Harris tries to get away from Kate, but she doesn’t care that he is recovering from being shot and trying to track down Clyde. She needs answers. Kate wants Harris to focus primarily on getting Lucas free. She threatens Harris, and tells him to research her. He'll find out what she is capable of doing.
Abe and Paulina chat on Facetime. He is angry with her, but Chanel was missing, doesn’t Abe understand? Abe keeps reminding Paulina about how stupid this was. But Chanel was missing; “ill advised” is the worst Abe can come up with. Paulina defends her actions because Chanel was missing.
Chanel’s ankle is very sore when she puts weight on it. Johnny suggests not putting weight on it. They recap their blissful honeymoon. Johnny suggests they head back to the cabin for round two. Chanel is horrified, she’s never going back.
Kayla wanders into the pub and hugs Roman. He offers a Caroline Brady special cup of chowder and a shoulder to lean on. Kayla snaps that up. Roman tells her to grab a table and he’ll get the rest.
Ava digs at Stefan that he’s gone from CEO of a multinational corporation to a barkeep, a riches to rags story. They toss family injuries caused by Clyde. They argue nonproductively. Stefan wants Ava to kiss his feet because he took the heat for this. He has his regrets over what has been done over these past few months. We get a flashback to their horizontal tango, because we all needed to see THAT again. Stefan would do everything again to protect her family. So would Ava. Ava starts to tell Stefan about why she is at the Bistro but changes her mind. She wanted to see the place one last time. Stefan wants her keys.
Kayla has told Roman everything, not sure what everything is, as she finishes her bowl of chowder. They discuss what the hell Paulina was thinking, then talk about what they would go through to protect their children. They discuss Stephanie and her current heartbreak. Kayla is going to the restroom before she heads home.
Kate returns to the pub and tells Roman about meeting with Harris.
Ava hems and haws over returning the keys to Stefan. She however hands over a bunch of keys. Stefan flashes back to their bedtime experience again. Because why not? It’s Earth Day.
Ava leaves and finds Harris, says she didn’t look around much. She sort of tells him what happened. Stefan comes out and they decide to talk. Stefan tells Harris he’s unarmed. Harris tells Stefan he is armed.
Johnny and Chanel are still at the hospital trying to get home, but Chanel’s without crutches and having trouble walking.
Kayla is leaving the pub. She needs to talk to Ava. Kayla's not happy with Ava. This entire conversation seems out of the blue given how infrequently they’ve been around each other. Kayla doesn’t like the way Ava uses people to get what she wants and always finds a way to blame anyone but herself for the problems she causes. The conversation is so loud Roman comes out to check on the women.
Harris still can’t figure out why Stefan is walking around a free man. They recap all the Clyde/Stefan/Harris/EJ dealings of bad guy stuff. Harris figures out that Stefan has something on EJ. Stefan apologizes for shooting Harris and says that he's happy Harris survived. Harris thinks Stefan helped Clyde escape, but Stefan swears on everything he holds dear he did not help Clyde escape.

Chanel and Johnny have entered a hotel room with rose petals on the bed and candles with champagne. Johnny has checked them in under the name Mr. and Mrs. John Doe. Johnny called the staff at the DiMansion and they brought his guitar so he can sing to Chanel. And he does. Chanel sways to the music. He finishes the song, they kiss.
