37 minutes, at least 20 minutes of flashbacks

Leo and Dimitri in the hotel room, Leo confronts Dimitri.

Gwen discusses Leo’s inability to hide his lustful looks. Gwen at first that she’d finally found love but alas that wasn’t to be. Gwen has jumped off of cloud nine and is back to being “my cynical, misanthropic self”.

Stock footage of Greece with Athens, Greece written over the Greek flag.

The Hardy Boys (Alex and Brady) are questioning Konstantin, Grandfather didn’t tell his family why he was visiting Greece.

Theresa sitting on the bed waiting for food, door knock, answering the door, Oh MY God, Daddy!

Stefan and Gabi gloat over world domination.

Leo accuses Dimitri of shagging Gwen endlessly, using positions that even Leo has never heard about. Dimitri claims the only physical intimacy the two have shared over the last 24 hours was when their hands touched as Gwen passed the tv remote. They wonder why Gwen is lying?

Gwen and Kristen girl talk about when exactly Gwen knew. It was when Leo turned up on her honeymoon for a mysterious Madonna concert. Then once that happened, she looked back and saw all of the times when she should have seen the truth.

Shane comes into the room, asking just what are you doing here? Theresa tells him that Alex and Brady aka the Hardy Boys, will be back soon. Shane tells her that’s nice but you didn’t answer my question, did you? It doesn’t take a trained ISA agent to see this is all about. It’s Brady isn’t it?

Getting great use out of the Pub set, Konstantin tells the boys that he didn’t plan on meeting Victor, he just appeared. Konstantin could tell that Victor was very upset and it was something besides his ailing son that was really bothering him.

Gabi continues to gloat as Stefan ponders.

Gwen repeats herself about Leo and we are shown flashbacks about all the times she should have seen that Dimitri had been lying to her.

Leo and Dimitri discuss Dimitri’s sleeping with Gwen is out of obligation, but Dimitri is sleeping with Leo because he loves him.

Wasting time and air, Gabi and Stefan plot.

Gwen and Kristen continue to enjoy Gwen flashbacks of all the times Gwen walked in on them. As Gwen flashes back, she berates herself. Gwen mentioned Matthew Perry.

Leo wants to know what Dimitri says? Dimitri tells Leo that he loves him and explains all the reasons. They love each other, yeah!

Shane knows that Theresa hadn’t fully gotten over Brady (why? He is not a prize) But Shane is upset Theresa would chase Brady all the way to Greece. Theresa tries to defend the lame idea that she’s helping Brady and Alex. Shane knows she could help them, but it’s obvious they don’t want her help. Shane tells her that if Brady can’t see how wonderful you are, he doesn’t deserve you.

Brady, who could be jet lagged, asks Konstantin the thing bothering my grandfather was something besides Bo? Konstantin tells Alex and Brady that when he asked about what was troubling his old friend, he got very quiet. Victor didn’t say anything about his will but he did mention a letter that was very important to him.

Alex can’t believe Victor would come all this way for a letter. Brady remembers Kayla telling him that when Bo had her trapped in the wine cellar at Granddad’s old house, she found a box full of old letters. Well, this is good, at least they aren’t looking for a Giant “W” on the island. (Old movie reference It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World)

Theresa explains boys and her plan to fling with Alex to make Brady love her again. Theresa has changed.

Gwen and Kristen discuss M.P. and Matthew Perry, and we get flashbacks. But not at this point not what M.P means. We are pleased to report we get to see the entire Madonna concert. Then we get a flashback we didn’t see before of Dimitri and Leo on the honeymoon as Gwen walks into the room, stops and backs out.

Gwen, in present time, tells Kristen about the other time she popped in on Leo and he had someone hidden in his room. Kristen wants to know what M.P. stands for. We get another flashback and Kristen laughs at MP standing not for Matthew Perry but Magic "Part" (male body part).

Dimitri and Leo break apart the kiss. Dimitri explains that Gabi and Stefan are going to blackmail him. That Gabi found the hotel receipts proving Dimitri paid for the hotel room, and that little brat Rachel saw them having a sleepover.

Gabi and Stefan have corporate espionage talk, oooooh, so exciting. :sarcasm:

Leo sputtering about being discovered, Dimitri figures there is only one thing they can do and that is kill Stefan and Gabi. Lordy, I hope the Von Leuschners have a better 1-800 hired killers number to call than EJ.

Gwen talks of walking in on Leo and Dimitri on her honeymoon, she was angry and terribly hurt. Gwen couldn’t figure out why Dimitri was in such a rush to marry her. So when they got home and Dimitri sent her upstairs to unpack while he stayed and talked to Kristen, Gwen figured it would be time to eavesdrop. AND guess what, if you missed that scene, or if you really enjoyed it, you get to see it again as a flashback.

Kristen prompting Dimitri to convince the barrister that he married for love in order to get his inheritance. Gwen now accuses Kristen that she (Kristen) was planning to split the Von Leuschner money all along. Kristen tells Gwen that Dimitri and Leo are in love.

Leo can’t believe that Dimitri actually wants to kill them. Dimitri explains to Leo that he hasn’t changed, he tried to take out half of Salem with a peacock, remember.

More boring Gabi and Stefan.

Alex can’t believe that Victor would travel to Greece for a box of letters. And this, Alex, is why you are a shallow horn dog. Brady tells Alex that these letters were important to him. Brady explains to Alex as if he was a child that a bunch of these letters were written to Caroline and had been returned to him unopened. Alex has a very dim bulb light. Caroline was Bo’s mother. Konstantin breaks up this conversation and tells them they are family, and always welcomed here. Brady asks where the family home is located?

Theresa tells her daddy that as he is always looking out for her, she’s going to look out for him, starting with his briefcase. She will order him a new one. Shane tells her not to worry, this briefcase was recovered from the plane crash. It belonged to Victor, just papers and documents. Theresa convinces him to leave it with her and she will get it to Brady and Alex. The head of the ISA leaves the briefcase with his little jelly bean. Jelly Bean, aka Theresa, fondles the briefcase.

Gabi wants to go in for the kill, Stefan wants to spend the day in bed. Stefan sends a text to Dimitri.

Dimitri gets the text and leaves. He doesn’t want Gwen to get suspicious.

Gwen is going to confront Dimitri, but Kristen convinces Gwen to join her and turn the tables on both Dimitri and Leo.

Konstantin has brought the boys to the wine cellar where they instantly find the old metal box, which isn’t old looking at all. Which surprise surprise, it isn’t empty.

Back at the hotel room, Theresa has opened the briefcase and is reading through the papers.

Thanks for the summary. Yes, a lot of flashbacks today, but some explanations that were much needed. Otherwise a dull show, but at least we got some answers for questions we'd been having. Hopefully tomorrow is more interesting. It's good to see Shane back on-screen, as well.

Thanks, robin.

Nice to see Shane. That's about it.

Shane talking to Theresa about her love life was strange.

Gabi and Stefan were a waste of time, unless Dimitri kills them.

So Gwen didn't know anything until after she was married. Nope that's not Gwen. She would have known sooner.

Gwen and Kristen working together. That might be something or maybe not.

Victor got the letters he wanted and now they're in the briefcase. Is there something besides the letters he wrote to Caroline?

Brady attracts the weirdest love interests.
How stupid for the head of the ISA to leave that briefcase with Theresa. Officially, at the least it should have been returned to Maggie (in spite of Vivian’s claims).

Ain’t that the truth? How about a scene where John pleads: “Please son, find yourself a normal love interest.”

Giving the briefcase to Jeannie T. was no surprise. ISA means stupid and stupid means ISA. Remember the unsafe safe house?

That’s it for today. This one finally did put me to sleep.

Stefan and Gabi were beyond pointless today. How did they manage to fill up 5 or 6 scenes basically saying nothing?

If the writers played their cards right, they could make Dimitri a decent new villain. He has DiMera instincts, Von Leuschner ego, and apparently a thirst for power with a side of instability that could open up a bunch of storylines. His interaction with Vivian the other day showed he holds a grudge. He could turn the tables on Stefan and Gabi by going after Vivian. Stefan will go ballistic finding out Mother is in trouble.

As for the Gwen-Dimitri-Leo story, at least it's showing signs that it might wrap up finally. Glad they didn't make Gwen out to be completely clueless. I'm about ready for Leo to leave Salem.

It was good to hear Theresa basically admit that she was overdoing her flirts with Alex. That explains how obnoxious and desperate she seemed the other day. And Shane is always a welcome guest, but he totally should have stayed and had dinner with his daughter while waiting for the boys to return. Doesn't seem like something an ISA director would do to just leave a briefcase with your daughter.

I'm curious how they're going to tie all of these pieces together with Victor, the letters to Caroline, Vivian's plotting, the supposed missing will, and getting Maggie back where she belongs.

I wonder if the writers were just having Gabi present in scenes, without anything meaningful to do or say, because they knew she was leaving, and would be written out, so did not want to be left hanging with Gabi in the middle of something meaningful???
