At the DiMansion, Johnny and Chanel are cuddling in bed. They are discussing how sad everything Nicole and EJ are going through. Johnny says he has something important to talk to her about.
Wendy rolls over asleep in her bed, Tripp touches and caresses her face and wakes her. She smiles, saying his touch feels good. He tells her that research says it helps with depression. She laughs at his "doctor take" on a romantic moment. He keeps talking about it. She says she has seen the research herself. They kiss. Wendy's phone rings and she answers, thinking it's a call from her mom that she is expecting. (But she takes a while to answer, it just rings and rings through the scene.)
When she does answer, she speaks in Mandarin, saying "Hey mama, it makes me happy to hear your voice." Tripp gets up and goes to kitchen to get a glass of water and finds his mom on the couch. He asks why she is there and she answers that she isn't sure if he should want to know.
At the police station, Rafe says they had a good night. Jada agrees. Harris walks up and says he turned the Bistro upside down and found nothing but he can't believe it.
Brady wakes up to Alex calling him, Alex says that "Theresa is gone". She is missing, not answering his phone calls. Brady says "I was afraid of this." Alex is confused, Brady says not to worry, he's on his way over.
At the DiMansion, Johnny says it's nothing, but the thing with Holly has him realizing how unpredictable life is. Chanel talks about same feelings about Paulina's health troubles. Johnny talks again about Holly, and her dad, that you don't have to be old or sick for something to go wrong. He says he doesn't want to waste another day, he wants to get married again to Chanel.
Wendy is still talking to her mom, who is angry Wendy didn't come home. We only hear Wendy's side of the conversation, but she is glad "Uncle Li Jun is getting Father out of the house to do tai chi (a form of gentle martial arts)" She tells her mother not to worry about her and smiles. Out in the living room, Tripp wants to know what's going on? Ava shares that the police searched the Bistro for drugs. She says not to worry, none were found. She still claims nothing is going on. But Tripp is trying to get her to tell him what's going on, she doesn't have to go through it alone. Ava just shakes her head.
Back at the police station, Rafe, Jada and Harris continue to go over the drug case. They consider that they may have a dirty cop helping.
At Alex's apartment, Alex and Brady are discussing the situation with Holly. Brady says Theresa blames herself. If he's "right" about what he's thinking, they need to do something to prevent a "skyfall".
Back at the DiMansion, Johnny pleads his case. He admits he was originally going to propose at the big date he had planned that didn't happen. He just doesn't want to wait anymore. He wants the big fat wedding. He wants to fly everyone out on DiMera jet to somewhere like Hawaii. Chanel says it's not a good idea. Not the "getting married part" but the flying away. With everything going on, they should stay here. He says ok, maybe a big fat small wedding here. Chanel laughs and says he should ask her properly. They giggle and cuddle.
Wendy wonders why Tripp is taking so long? She gets up to finish packing and finds a Jenga piece in her bag. Flashback to the Jenga game she and Tripp played before she left. She smiles, realizing he placed it there. In the living room, Ava says Tripp needs to go back to bed. Tripp is defiant. Wendy walks out and says she will just go back to bed. Ava says "yes, it's late, go to bed", Tripp says no, Wendy should stay and hear whatever it is Ava is going to share with them. He announces there was a drug raid at the Bistro tonight. Tripp repeats to Ava that they didn't go to China because of this. Ava calls that a mistake, says to let her handle it. Tripp says so you admit there IS something going on?
Back at the police station, Rafe is going to begin internal investigation into their staff to see if there is a dirty cop. Jada leaves to go downstairs and answer some questions in the records department. Harris talks to Rafe about what he talked to Ava about, and that she was about to open up until Stefan walked up. Rafe reminds Harris that in his opinion, Ava can't be trusted.
Alex and Brady discuss the missing Theresa situation. She must have turned off her phone before leaving as it was last pinged right there.
Jada is at her desk on the phone with records saying she sent the form. She hangs up and answers a call from Brady. Brady says he needs her help off the record to help them find Theresa. With everything going on with Tate, and her history of substance abuse, he is worried about Theresa and wants Jada to search local ATMs to see if Theresa made a cash withdrawal or something.
Jada says "off the record" she would have to have a search warrant in place to do that search. Brady replies that he is worried that if they wait for that, it will be too late. He's asking her to just do it. Jada says she is going to see if she can get the warrant through the current drug investigation they already are working on. She thanks him for the tip and hangs up.
At the DiMansion, Johnny jokes about the proper way to propose. He's a "fly by the seat of his pants" kind of guy. Chanel tells him to fly by the seat of his pants then and propose formally. They start to kiss but he stops and asks when she wants this former proposal? He checks the calendar and picks a day. She calls it cliche. He says if they get married on Valentine's Day, they won't forget their anniversary. Chanel says well you can't get a single gift and say it's for both occasions. He agrees. She says to surprise her, he adds that's his favorite thing to do. He gets out of bed.
Tripp and Ava continue to argue about her not telling him anything. He argues that he is a grown man and can see she is in trouble. She says to let it go. He says no.
Back at police station, Harris continues to talk about Ava but then says never mind. Rafe gets it, he knows Ava was trying to turn over a new leaf. But her past tells him to stay away. Harris thinks about what Rafe said.
Back to Alex and Brady where they continue to come up with ideas about where Theresa could be. Alex tells Brady to go look for her, he will stay there in case she returns. Before he leaves, Brady gets a call from Jada who has found Theresa at a hotel. Brady is on the way, Jada warns him Theresa is as high as a kite. We see Theresa laid out on the bed.
Back at the DiMansion, Chanel is laying on the bed playing on her phone when Johnny calls from the other room for her to close her eyes. She sits up and closes her eyes and tells Johnny she is ready. He makes her promise that she isn't peeking. He tells her to open her eyes, and she sees him wearing *only* a tie, and on one knee looking up at her. Johnny hands her a single red rose and says, "Chanel DuPree, I love you with all my heart. And I feel like the luckiest guy on the planet to have you in my life. You deserve the world, and I intend to give it to you because you are my world. So will you marry me?" He is holding a gold ring with a flat surface that looks like a coin.
Back at the station, Harris goes on about Ava being in over her head. Rafe asks if he is in over his head? They argue a little about it. Rafe is worried about his closeness to the case and considers removing him from the investigation. Rafe asks Harris if he is 100% sure he can be unbiased about the case.
Tripp and Ava continue to argue. Ava shares that Harris is the one who raided the Bistro with his "stormtroopers". If something was going on, she'd be in jail. Tripp argues that Harris must have had a reason to search the Bistro. Wendy tries to jump in, Ava tells them not to talk to the police.
Alex and Brady arrive at the Salem Inn. Alex rushes over and holds Theresa's hand, saying he is there. Brady holds her other hand and says he is there and going to get her out of there. Theresa says hi and asks why is he there? She wants to stay and party. Brady says well let's dance, trying to get her to come with him to the hospital. She calls him boring, doesn't want to go. She falls to the floor again, but they help her so she doesn't get hurt. She asks them to leave her and just let her be "happy". She says not to rain on her parade, she wouldn't do that to him.
Jada sits down and asks how Theresa is feeling? Theresa in her high state, puts her arms out and claims to feel amazing, then changes her answer to hot and dizzy. Brady coaches her through the feeling with breathing instructions. Alex gets her a glass of water. Jada says based on Theresa's alertness, she didn't take the drugs currently being dealt with in Salem. Theresa agrees she is ok and they are worrying for no reason. Brady then says she will be going for a car ride now. He gently guides her to standing. Jada says maybe she shouldn't be in public just yet, since Brady wants it kept on the down low. Brady agrees, they will stay there for the night and keep an eye on her, both he and Alex.
