I remember Jennifer and Hope had to settle Gran's estate, but nothing else was ever said. If I were to overthink it, I'd guess the house is owned by a trust. But it's still weird Chad is calling about it. He should have his own house. He and Abby were no Tom and Alice, not even close!

Speaking of Everett and his beard, it would make for a good scene if under hypnosis with Marlena he says: “I’m at Salem Beach and two hunks are mocking me for being a nerd,” or ‘I’m at the beach with Willow Stark and … OMG … she’s just fallen and hit her head on a rock.”

Thanks for the summary. A filler day, indeed. At least Holly seems close to waking up, and Eli and Lani are coming back to town. It's also always nice when Johnny and Nicole share scenes.
