It's still Thanksgiving and an awkward day in Salem.

Kayla is in her office talking to Joey on the phone. She tells him Stephanie and Chad went to Doug and Julie's, and Tripp is with Wendy. She tells him she's stuck at work. She will share a turkey dinner with Steve when he gets back from Greece. She doesn't know when he's coming back home The door opens. (guess who?) It's Steve with flowers for Kayla. Kayla tells Joey she'll call him back. Steve says hi Joey and hugs Kayla.

Stephanie's in Horton dining room straightening up. Chad comes in and says he put the food away. He set aside some for Kayla. Stephanie says it was a fun day. Chad says it was awkward at times. Chad says Everett kept looking at her. Stephanie says no he wasn't. Everett was trying to get along with everyone, Doug, Julie and the kids.

Chad finally admits everyone had a good time. He then says the kids are staying the night. Chad wants time alone with her. They almost kiss when Everett comes in. He's finished the interview with Doug and Julie, the first couple of Salem. Chad says he needs to write the article now. Everett says he's going to and needs Stephanie to go with him.

Xander's at home looking at his tablet. He says Everett needs to talk to the crossword guy to make the puzzles easier. He doesn't know a six letter word for a North American gallinaceous bird. He picks up a turkey leg and starts eating it. (I think that's the answer ha, ha). There's a knock on his door. He takes the turkey leg with him. It's Sarah with Victoria. She came by to give him a surprise, and hands him an envelope.

Alex and Theresa are in Horton Square having coffee. They discuss their Thanksgiving dinner with Tate. Theresa is glad Tate has adjusted to life in Salem. She asks how he's doing with his dad? Is he still calling him Justin? Alex says he's calling him dad. He says it's still awkward, he's not his dad, but he's a great guy. They love each other. Justin invited him to Arizona with him and Bonnie and his brothers. He didn't want people to feel uncomfortable. Alex wants to check on Maggie and Sarah. He can't believe someone kidnapped the baby (it's Salem. It's like a holiday tradition). Theresa looks away.

Maggie and Konstantin are in the K-mansion den. He talks about people telling him about Thanksgiving. Maggie then talks about a Greek festival called Thesmophoria. Then they talk about the Greek myth about Persephone. She was kidnapped by Hades. When Persephone saw her mother, there was a great harvest. Maggie says it's good story except for the kidnapping. (Konstantin has flashback talking to Theresa in her hoodie about kidnapping the baby and wanting Victor's money) Maggie calls him a hero. Konstantin says he's not. He's done something terrible to her.

Kayla tells Joey goodbye. She says next Thanksgiving they will be together. Steve says goodbye too. Steve says he misses Joey. Kayla asks about Konstantin. Steve says Konstantin has an allergy to the truth. Kayla says Steve he already talked to Konstantin about tablecloth. Steve says yes and had a lot of excuses. Steve said he and John found out that he lied about Victor not wanting to pay him back after getting the loan.

The truth is Victor loaned him money and wanted it back. Konstantin had trouble paying him back. It caused a rift between the two men. Kayla says maybe Konstantin lied so Maggie didn't know how bad Victor was? Steve says the little lies don't add up. Steve said the biggest lie is that they weren't the best of friends, but enemies.

Chad asks Everett why he can't write story on his own? Everett says he doesn't need help with the profile. He wants Stephanie help him since Leo was charged with murder. Everett wants the paper to give a response. Chad comes up with a snarky remark. Chad says it's simple, since Leo and Dimitri drove Nicole off the highway. Everett says no. It was an accident and Leo helped deliver baby. Stephanie says she's not a fan or she's defending Leo. She has to protect reputation of newspaper. Stephanie tells Chad it's part of her job. Chad says it's Thanksgiving and do you have to do it tonight? Everett wants something for the morning paper. They both leave.

Xander opens the envelope Sarah gave him. It's Victoria's birth certificate. Sarah replaced the father's name from Rex to Xander. She wants Xander to be a part of their daughter's life. She realized that after Victoria was kidnapped. Later, Xander is holding the baby. Sarah tells Xander that Maggie stepped up security (it's about time). Xander tells her he'll fix the security for when Victoria spends the night. Sarah says she contacted Justin to draw up shared custody papers. She drew up a schedule for sharing. Xander is happy he can co-parent with her. Sarah says maybe someday. Xander asks someday what? They gaze at each other.

Alex can't believe someone would kidnap a baby in daylight. Theresa says the good news is the baby was found. Alex says it was because of Uncle Vic's (interesting he said that) friend Konstantin was there. Theresa agrees. Alex wants to see Maggie now. Theresa is surprised since he and Maggie had a fight over Titan. Alex says he needs to watch over his father's widow. Alex invites Theresa (she has flashback when Maggie saw the back of her when she took at the baby). She doesn't think she should go with him. Theresa doesn't want to intrude on a family moment. Alex says Theresa would be a buffer if things got awkward. Theresa finally agrees to go.

Maggie doesn't understand Konstantin since he hasn't done anything terrible (yes he has). He reminds her that he kissed her (of course, he didn't say what he really did). He says he was disrespectful and she should have thrown him out. (yes she should've). Maggie says he's a good man and he only had one lapse of judgment.

Konstantin talks about the tradition of giving thanks. Maggie says she usually has to make people say something. Victor wouldn't say anything until Maggie made him. This year, she didn't have anyone to give thanks. If they had given thanks, she would have been grateful to him. He's been a comfort to her for several weeks and thankful he got her granddaughter back. She hopes the police will catch kidnapper soon. He agrees.

Theresa, Alex and Maggie are in the den. Maggie is happy they stopped by since they haven't talked since Victor's funeral (and Theresa's face changed). Theresa is sorry and she heard about about Sarah's baby. Maggie says Victoria was unharmed thanks to Konstantin. He walks into den. Maggie asks if Konstantin remembers Alex from Greece? Alex introduces Theresa to him. Konstantin says they already know each other.

Theresa says he's confused. Konstantin reminds her she gave him directions. Theresa remembers him now. Alex asks how long Konstantin plans to say? He says he loves the town and may never leave. Alex asks Maggie if there are any leads on the kidnapper? Maggie said she only saw the back of him. Alex turns to Konstantin. He doesn't remember what he saw. He was focused on the child. He assumed it was a man. He didn't think a woman could hit him that hard. Theresa says you'll be surprised. Maggie says the kidnapper may have wanted money. Maggie decides everyone should have tea. Alex leaves with her.

Xander puts Victoria back in the buggy. He talks to Sarah about getting back together. She stutters and says she's open to the possibility of getting back together. They talk about almost kissing the day before. Xander says there's a spark. They agree they're in a much better place than before. Sarah says it's something they can think about.

They keep getting closer to kiss, but Sarah remembers she has to go to work and take Victoria home. Xander is glad she came. Sarah opens the door and Chad is there. Chad looks in the buggy and says baby is beautiful. Sarah leaves. Xander says he hasn't changed his mind about the paper. Chad tells Xander he bought Gwen's half and calls him partner.

Meanwhile at the newspaper office, Stephanie and Everett are there. Stephanie is talking about how bad Leo and Dimitri feel, but risked freedom to help Nicole. She changes it to if it wasn't for them, Nicole would have been alone when she had baby. Everett's excited and realizes the battery on his laptop is low. He has Stephanie look for the charger. She finds a ring box and shows it to him. He says it's for his contact lenses.

Stephanie opens the box and sees an engagement ring. She's surprised Everett was going to ask her to marry him. Yes, he was. They weren't serious but he wanted her to spend rest of her life with him. She realizes he had the ring with him when he came by to see her, but she's now with Chad. Everett thinks he should sell it because of his medical bills. Stephanie is teary eyed and says she's sorry. He's embarrassed since she found the ring. He says let's finish this work so you can go home to Chad.

Xander is surprised Chad bought half of the paper. He told Gwen not to tell anyone. Chad doesn't want anyone to know he bought it. Xander knows why. He knows Chad wants Everett fired and Stephanie not find out he was him. Xander says Everett is great at his job and doesn't want to lose him. Chad will be a silent partner and Xander can have his share of the profits. Chad didn't buy Gwen's share for money. He wants the pesky problem gone. Xander says Everett's not a problem. Chad tells Xander he can double the money and to fire Everett.

Steve wants to warn Maggie about Konstantin. Kayla says he's been a comfort to her. Instead of getting Maggie upset, tell someone in her family. The door opens and Sarah comes in. Steve says perfect timing. Steve tells Sarah what he knows. She's shocked about the tablecloth being from Saxton's. Kayla tells Sarah she can watch Konstantin so that he won't lie again. Sarah said she wasn't sure about him either until the kidnapping. Sarah says he saved her daughter from kidnapper.

Chad's at apartment drinking when Stephanie comes home. Stephanie tells him that she and Everett came up with a good defense for Leo and they work well together. Chad says you have to do your best for your client. Stephanie's surprised and says even Everett? Chad says he'll give him a chance.

Everett's working at his desk. Xander comes in, then he tells Everett he has to let him go.

Sarah must tell Steve and Kayla whole story of kidnapping. Sarah said it was bad, but Konstantin was able to catch kidnapper and get Victoria back. Sarah said he risked his life. Steve says it sounds like he was at right place at the right time. Sarah says her mom saw the kidnapper from the back. Konstantin didn't make that up. Steve says unless he had an accomplice, a partner in crime.

Back at the K-Mansion den, Theresa's upset with Konstantin when he said they knew each other. He says he wanted to have some fun. Theresa is upset because she can't watch him being nice to Maggie when all he wants is her money. She says it makes her sick. Konstantin reminds her that she's doing the same thing. She's only after Alex to get her hands on his inheritance, as Alex walks in. (oh my)

Xander's at home looking at his tablet. He says Everett needs to talk to the crossword guy to make the puzzles easier. He doesn't know a six letter word for a North American gallinaceous bird. He picks up a turkey leg and starts eating it. (I think that's the answer ha, ha).

Nice job, Kat!

So Konstantin will stay through Christmas, not New Year's? I hope he is out of there a lot sooner and that Steve and John uncover enough to land him in prison for the kidnapping, at the very least. I can't stand looking at him, and the longer he stays, the more Maggie will trust him.

I felt bad for Everett. He does seem like a genuinely decent guy. Maybe too smitten with Stephanie, where it is uncomfortable, but they do have history, and had he not had that accident, they might have been married by now. He was willing to commit.

I wish Xander told Chad to bugger off, or something to that effect. Everett does not deserve to be let go, and now what will he do?

I want Chad to be found out, and then Stephanie will move out. They are a disaster waiting to happen. How insecure is he, honestly?

Enjoyed Steve and Kayla's scenes and Joey being mentioned.

Of course,Alex didn't hear the whole conversation that he walked in on. That would be too quick.

I still don't accept Emily O'Brien as Theresa. Not her fault, she was thrown the character, and she is a very good actress. Had she always been Theresa, no problem. But since Gwen will likely be back at some point, it's too confusing.

That truly WAS funny with Xander and the crossword puzzle, plus that huge turkey leg.

Of course not. Xander has an extensive, sophisticated vocabulary. It’s the foolish writers who can’t do crossword puzzles. As for that drumstick, it was huge. Did somebody cook the emu from the insurance commercials for Thanksgiving dinner?

Over at the K-mansion, it’s getting tiresome watching poor Maggie gush over that lowlife Konstantin. The sooner the mighty Black Patch team exposes this old fraud the better. (His restaurant was probably a tourist trap that served mediocre food at inflated prices.)

Finally, Chad is turning into a village idiot. Imagine being jealous of a guy who looks like Nick Fallon with a beard. Jett Carver and Jeremy Horton would collapse in laughter at the very idea.

There’s a blast from the past. I almost forgot Jett existed! Oh the “Touch the Sky” summer. Jett would be a good one to bring back on the canvas to interact with Uncle Abe.

Anyway, seems like a very slow moving episode. Thanks for the write up. Not sure if I want to watch it.

My only hope is that judgmental Sarah doesn't have one of her signature hissy fits after she learns Xander helped Chad get rid of Everett.

Chad buddy, Stephanie will eventually figure out what you did you should cut your losses and bow out gracefully before that happens. It isn't like you want a committed relationship anyway.

Hope Stephanie dumps Chad like a hot potato.

Hope Sarah goes easy on Xander from now on and isn't so judgmental. (I hate to see them together).

Hope someone kicks the dog snot out of Sloan and Trask for stealing Nicole's baby and putting her through such unbearable pain.

Heck, I wanted to go through the computer screen and beat the dog snot out of both of them and they aren't even real, so good job acting everyone!

Arrianne Zucker (Nicole) did a bang-up job.
