You mean they actually filmed 2 WEEKS before the show aired?!?

They still used limbo sets

Yes. They were still taping a few weeks ahead of airdate into the 1990s. Ali Sweeney (Sami) taped her first episode on 1/6/93 and it aired 1/22/93. They were up to about a month ahead of tape date in the 2000's, and then when the new budget took effect in 2009, they eventually went from 1 month ahead to 5 months ahead.
