EJ/Ava/Paulina question

What happened to the storyline of EJ "defending" the hit lady he hired to kill Ava? Last I remember she was in the hospital being questioned by Jada. Also Paulina knew EJ was a suspect in this. Why in the world with his history she would hire him as the DA? It just makes no sense. Is it just for da plot?

Wow, I forgot about that story line, sportzgirl916! Yes, I am sure it was for "duh plot."

You are right about Paulina making a misstep by hiring someone with EJ's background as the DA.

I wonder if the former DA, Melinda Trask, will ever pay for her crimes with the Jude story line, or will this be swept under the rug?

Whenever I think of a rug, I picture Will and Sonny wrapping Leo up in one!

EJ was a former drug dealer and participant in his crime family's activities. He never should be a DA, but I think this is his second stint in the office, isn't it? Or maybe I'm confusing this with when he was mayor.
