Just in time for the 50th anniversary of "Days", I'm putting together a new collection of photos of the Horton Christmas ornaments, some available bigger than ever before on the web!

Is it just me, or does anyone else think that a few of those are just plain ugly?

It's funny, but some of them look kind of cheap close up. When they're on TV, they look so gorgeous.

I agree. Jennifer's looks like it faded and they recolored it....with a marker. But it may have been old and faded. Some have looked redone in recent years.

Some ornaments were damaged over the years and new ones were made.

You can see Addie's, Hope's and Doug's are different from their originals.

Sarah's is also different. Her original ornament was silver, but her current ornament is red.

Unless the baby is born extremely early, her baby won't get one until Christmas 2016.

The only baby to receive an ornament before it was born was Shawn-Douglas. When Hope was pregnant with him, Alice gave her a small ornament that said "Baby".

Would make more sense to see Baby Deveraux-Weston-DiMera to come along during February sweeps.

Heck I think Abby must be taking some sort of chroniton-based hormone pill. She's 5 weeks along one month after sex with Chad but two weeks after sex with Ben (same Salem 24 hour period). Then a week later she's 8 weeks along, now a week later she's 8 weeks along. LOLOL

That kid'll bounce out when it is convenient...I'd not be a bit surprised if it's born the last week of November sweeps. And in college by Feb sweeps. :wink:

My money says November sweeps. It would line up with the casting call too.

Maybe it's going to be a preemie and have a medical condition that requires blood or whatever and Ben will not be a match.

I say February, unless she has the baby prematurely.

Jennifer's ornament has definitely been colored with a sharpie.

I'll agree with the posts above...the ornaments look wonderful, homey & classy on TV, but up-close appear to be ...cheap. :(

When working props for the summer, what they looked like up close didn't matter. They had to "read" true from the house. Most of them were pretty tacky. Will Roger's Follies had "corn" covered suitcases that when turned, the family walked on stage said something and when they turned and walked off stage they said something else spelled out in cute ears of corn. I had to paint them between shows because the kernels would "pop" from the house. I loved that show but hated those suitcases.
