I agree the storyline is stupid. I have to say that the fact the Liam barely knows Jennifer really has no bearing on a stalker. A person who is unbalanced can fixate on someone with just a look or an innocent smile directed at them. They build a whole fantasy life in their mind and then the stalking starts. If they feel rebuked, it can turn aggressive or vengeful. At least in the this case, Liam and Jennifer did have a few dates and could be a reason why he believes he loved Jennifer and became angry when he was replaced by Daniel.
