Daniel/Melanie at Java Cafe
Daniel is at Java when Melanie comes in. He has a PR meeting with Jennifer. Must have slipped his mind. Is he playing hooky? So sweet of her to come in to nag him. Not like him to hang out in a coffee shop when he should be at the hospital. Any responses to her reward offer? The Police think they have a partial plate. Pair that with the make and model and they may figure out something! Good for her! A real Nancy Drew on her hands. He has to get to his meeting. OK bye! Love you. Dad and Jennifer she says. He stops. His PR meeting! Right, he has to go! He better not forget his coat! And his coffee! Got it, got it! She laughs after him. She debates for a minuet...donut..running...donut...running..running! She heads outside and we see she is being followed.
Jennifer/Maxine in Jennifer's Office
Jennifer is at her office and flashes back to falling in Daniel's lap. Maxine knocks on the door and Jennifer spills her coffee. Where is Dr. Jonas? She thought Maxine was him but it was her. In that case, she is gonna do a few more things and come back. NO! Jennifer thinks it best that she is there when he gets there? Now, why is that? Why doesn't she want to be alone in the room with Dr. Jonas. She didn't say that. She kinda did, yeah. They are launching a PR campaign with one doc and one nurse. Yadda, yadda...She wants to see the two of them together and get a sense of their relationship. Their relationship is doctor and she is the nurse. He tells her what to do and she does it. Respect, great. Everyone does, but she still has to do what Doctors say no matter what she says about them, but she will say this about Dr. Jonas...Damn, that man is fine! She chuckles. Jennifer tells her she doesn't see what that has to do with anything. Really? So it is just a coincidence that she chose him to be her first profile? She thinks she chose the best looking doctor and nurse that she could fine. Enter Daniel. What did he miss? Jennifer says nothing and Maxine says should you tell him? Or should I? They all share this moment of real awkwardness. Jennifer is talking about her plans and Daniel is not looking at her but playing on his phone. The OR is off limits he says. Yes, she wants to make that note. She reaches for her pen at the same time he goes to pass it to her and their hands cover one another. She yanks hers away and he shifts awkwardly in his chair while Maxine takes it all in. Maybe she should pick up the pen and be a neutral party? He hands it to Jennifer and she thanks him. She gets a page and has to gone. Can she trust them alone?
Jennifer/Daniel in Jennifer's Office
So, ah, where were they? The interns...not in the OR...He interrupts her and asks if she thinks they should talk about what just happened? She dropped her pen. Why talk about that? No, no, they should talk about them. It is pretty obvious that Maxine noticed there was something going on between the two of them. She was just teasing Jennifer says. This is a hospital and people do talk. Everyone does. Including Maxine. There is nothing to talk about Jennifer says. Really? Really? Shouldn't they just be honest? No she says. She doesn't like being honest. Oh, great. He'll start them. She has been a great friend and yesterday and what just happened now wasn't friendship. That was more like...ahh...She knows what it is. It's chemistry she says. Yeah, that is a problem he says. Because they are just getting over relationships and it is probably some dumb rebound thing. She agrees. It is dumb. He is not going to use her to get over Chloe. He isn't emotionally available. No, she gets it. She wouldn't want to use him as a bad substitute for Jack. No, no, there is no measuring up to him he says. Since they both agree there is this chemistry, she thinks it would be a really bad idea to act on it. Agreed? Absolutely. They accomplished a lot today, professionally and personally. Professionally she is going to to email him and Maxine and they will get this started. That is good he says. As for the personal thing, they shake on it. It is always good to see him she says. He is sure he will see her. Have fun he says and leaves. She tells herself she has to keep her distance from him and it is going to be easy. He walks out and says to himself. Bad substitute? It's simple he tells himself. Just keep his distance.
Carly/Stefano at the Nurses Station
Carly tells Stefano she will call him when she gets his test results back but she doesn't anticipate any problems. Good to hear. Looks like he has a new lease on life. His youngest son he moved into his house and there is nothing like having a child around to make you realize why it is worth living. Carly flashes back to her conversation with Nicolas. She tears up and he asks if she is alright? No, she isn't. Sorry, she did not mean to get emotional. She is glad for him and his son. Just her and her son are not on very good terms right now. That must be painful for her but if the saying is true, time heals everything. She doesn't know about that. It didn't change Lawrence. She is so sorry. he came for a check up. Not to hear about her problems. No, no, it is no problem at all. Enter LExie. Sometimes if you talk to someone who has had a little experience with this kind of thing...Lexie interrupts. How was his check up? Clean bill of health. How are Nicole and Taylor? He hasn't seen them yet, but he better get going. He tells Carly thank you and holds her hand and tells her to take care of herself. Like Katherine Hepburn said 'every family has it's ups and down. He kisses Lexie and excuses himself.

What was that about Lexie asks her? She told him her and Nicolas weren't getting along right now. She jut opened up to her father! She needs some time off! NO Carly shouts. Last night was awful and here she is back already? Work is all she has right now. It is not that they don't need her, she is just worried she is pushing herself to hard. She looks exhausted. She insists she is fine! Lexie tells her to talk to her. OK, maybe she should. She wants this confidential. No one has to cover for her. OK, what is it? She slipped in the shower and banged her elbow really bad. She tried to push through it but it hurts. Really bad. During the day it is fine, but at night, it is causing her to have a lot of trouble sleeping. Why should she have to deal with pain like that? Exactly Carly agrees. She can't get in for an x-ray today. Did she try aspirin, ibuprofen? Nothing touches the pain. Why didn't she tell her? She will write her a prescription to get her through the day. Carly tells her if it gets crazy busy maybe she can get her a refill? In case she can't see a doctor today. Sure. She has to get to work and leaves Carly alone. It shows that she gave her a prescription for morphine. Carly adjusts the refills to 4 from 1 and says just in case. Just in case. Enter Maxine.
Nicole in Bed
Nicole is still with Faye telling her she can't trust EJ now that she knows that he has a secret. She saw how desperate Faye was. All of a sudden Faye shoots up and starts screaming that she has to know! She has to know over and over again. Nicole shoots up out of bed startled from her nightmare. What was she trying to tell her about EJ?
Taylor/EJ in the DiMansion Great Room
Taylor is looking at a photo of Faye when EJ comes in. Good morning. No, not really. He just wanted to talk to her about something. She doesn't want to. Doorbell rings. He leaves to get it and Taylor tells Faye's photo that she shouldn't have died alone and that she shouldn't have been there.

EJ answers the door to Rafe2. What the hell does he want? He came to see EJ. Has something to tell him. Something huge! They have been through this. He is supposed to call. He does NOT just show up there unannounced. Taylor comes out. He is sorry, didn't realize he had a visitor. He introduces them. He is so sorry for her loss and what he said earlier. Her mom was a very nice lady. He knew her well? He met her professionally. She reminded him of his mom. Very protective of her kids. Professionally? He was in the FBI. He was...nevermind. Not the time or place. He will tell them why he is here. Is Nicole around? Would you tell her when she wakes up that both he and Sami are very sorry for her loss? They are more then happy to watch the kids for as long as they need them to. She will. Thanks. She heads out to check on Nicole. Sister, huh? Must be nice. EJ asks what he thinks he is doing coming around there? That was a potential disaster. Rafe2 thinks he did pretty good. Very plausible coming by about the kids. Her poor mother is dead and he comes around to play a game of charades? He plays them damn well and he thinks he and his pops need to start thinking about a bonus. Get out. He is not going to be around much longer to boss around. Sami and her husband had a huge fight after he left the other day and he doesn't think the marriage will last much longer. He thought it would cheer EJ up a little. Rafe2 wants to tell him that he has no idea what he is capable of she he should take it easy.

Taylor is hugging Nicole and she is saying it was just a nightmare. About mom? Her and...is EJ downstairs? Yeah, he is talking to Rafe2? She wonders why. She relays Rafe2's message. Oh, that was nice of him. EJ doesn't like him does he? That is an understatement. Yeah, he was trying really hard to be pleasant but there was a very strange vibe going on. Nicole needs to talk to EJ but she cannot deal with anyone right now, just let her know when Rafe2 is gone and don't let EJ leave. He has a habit of leaving without telling her and she really needs to talk to him about what mom said. Sure. She will let him know. Thanks.
