Beauregard Aurelios Brady / Bo Kiriakis (used briefly, never legal)
Bo Brady arrived in Salem on his motorcycle, your typical bad boy. He met and fell in love with Hope Williams, who was engaged to Larry Welch at the time. Hope’s wedding to Larry was eventful as Bo kidnapped Hope, taking her off on the back of his motorcycle, as the song Holding Out for a Hero played in the background. In order to deceive Larry, Howie Hofstedder walked down the aisle in a wedding dress, with a heavy veil covering his face. It wasn’t until Howie lifted his veil, that the ruse was discovered.
Bo and Hope eventually married in a beautiful ceremony in England, given to them by English royalty after they solved a mystery there. Bo learned Victor Kiriakis was his birth father, only when Bo came close to shooting him. Bo and Hope temporarily moved into the Kiriakis mansion, where Hope lost their first child.
Later, Bo and Hope had Shawn-Douglas, named after their fathers (Bo always considered Shawn Brady his ‘pop’). Bo, Hope and Shawn-D left Salem on the Fancy Face, sailed around the world. returning 3 years later.
Bo and Hope became involved with Ernesto Toscano, with Hope later dying in an explosion and even though no body was ever found, Bo was finally convinced that his Fancy Face was gone. He and Shawn-D moved back to Salem.
After Hope’s death he became involved with Carly Manning. Although attempting several times to get married, something always stopped them. At one point Carly was even presumed dead, but was already getting back with Larry Alamain, the father of her child. These two later moved out of Salem and Bo met Billie Reed.
Bo married Billie, but by this time Hope had returned more or less from the dead, and Bo couldn’t fight his feelings for her. Eventually Bo and Hope found their way back to each other and were going to get married, but she discovered Bo and Billie in bed together at the Horton Cabin. It appeared that they had made love, when in reality, Bo had fallen into the freezing water, and Billie was trying to save him life.
Bo then became involved with a drug smuggling case after Shawn-D was shot by drug dealers. J. T. King made Bo and Billie get married to prove their loyalty to him (Hope was a bridesmaid and Franco Kelly was the best man). During this time, Billie got pregnant with Bo’s child, the child was born prematurely and was thought to have died. Out of spite, Billie blamed the premature birth on an argument she had had with Hope.
Bo went to the Bayou while investigating Hope’s past and met Swamp Girl (Greta) who had actually taken Hope’s place during the explosion and was severely scarred. Bo took Greta back to Salem and she sensed her mother (Princess Gina) was near every time she was around Hope. Princess Gina & Hope were dead ringers for each other, Hope’s memories erased and replaced with Gina’s, a plot by Stefano DiMera. Billie left Salem, moving to Paris. She returned a few years later. Bo had many adventures through the years, involving Hope, Stefano DiMera, Billie, Carly, Steve Johnson, and a myriad of other residents of Salem.
Once again Hope was kidnapped and Gina took her place. Gina shot Shawn-D and that is when everyone in Salem learned the truth. By the time Bo rescued Hope and Stefano, she was very pregnant and Bo knew that he couldn’t be the father. But they remarried in June 2000. Hope gave birth to a baby boy, but that boy was switched at birth with another child and given to Lexie to adopt. J.T.’s biological father gained custody of him, moved to Iowa. Bo and Hope sought custody of Isaac (their real son). They had planned on raising both boys, but lost custody of J.T. and Abe relinquished custody of Isaac. Bo and Hope called him Zack.
Zack was later killed in a hit and run accident. Bo’s daughter with Billie, (Chelsea) was driving Bo’s vehicle and accidently hit her little brother. She let Billie confess to this accident, but the truth came out driving Bo and Hope apart.
Hope was once again pregnant, but a DNA test showed that Patrick Lockhart to be the father. However Patrick confessed that Bo was actually the father of Hope’s little girl and they named her Ciara Alice Brady.
When Ciara was kidnapped, Hope was not happy with the way that Bo handled the situation, and after getting Ciara back safe and sound, and it was revealed that the kidnapper was a police officer, Hope and Ciara moved out of their home and into the Kiriakis mansion.
Carly Manning came back to town shortly afterwards and she and Bo got together. Bo was very torn between his old feelings for Carly, and for Hope, who he felt had walked out on him. His priority came to protect Carly, which further estranged him from his wife, and other family members.
