Samantha Gene Brady
Samantha Gene Brady, born October 16, 1984 – SORASed to October 16, 1977- to Marlena & Roman Brady. Her twin brother is Eric Roman, while she is named for her mother’s deceased twin, Samantha, and her mother’s friend, Eugene Bradford
Returned to Salem from Colorado in 1992, attempted to steal Austin Reed from sister Carrie with Lucas Roberts’ help. Sami became bulimic because she thought if she was thinner, Austin will love her. She eventually had a one-night stand with Lucas, drugged and raped Austin, became pregnant. She tried to pass the baby off as Austin’s but it was revealed that Lucas is Will’s father. Austin married Sami because he thought he was Will’s father. He broke things off with Sami & married Carrie when the truth came out. Sami was raped by Alan Harris when she refused to pose nude for photographs. She then took the law into her own hands, hot & castrated Alan.
Earlier, Sami had kidnapped and attempted to sell sister Belle Black on the Black Market because she didn’t want Roman (her father) to find out Marlena had an affair with John Black.
Sami became engaged to Franco Kelly, who only wanted a Green Card. Sami found out he cheated on her and stated that she will kill him. When she went into the living room on her wedding day, she found Franco shot. She was framed for the murder by Kate Roberts and sentenced to death. Right before she was put to death by lethal injection, Lucas rushed in, confessing he killed Franco to save his mother from being killed by Franco.
Sami then met and married Brandon Walker. However, their marriage was annulled when he got tired of her lying and scheming.Eventually, Sami and Lucas began to let go of their animosity for each other, and fell in love. Kate drugged Sami and placed her in Brandon’s bed; so Lucas calls off the wedding.
Lucas and Sami found their way back to each other and were going to get married again. However, it was revealed at their wedding that Sami had been working for Tony DiMera as the male “Stan” and had put Lucas, Philip, and Brady in danger in a war zone. Lucas left Sami devastated at the altar; even her father told her she went too far this time.
Carrie returned to town and renewed her relationship with Austin. After Sami convinced Lexi to tell Carrie that any kids she has with Austin will have problems, Carrie called off their relationship and becomes engaged to Lucas. Austin then proposed to Sami. But true love seemed to prevail, Austin & Carrie married, Sami & Lucas hooked up, and, at this point, EJ moved across the hall from Sami.
EJ & Sami begin a relationship, until she discovered he was a DiMera and also was sleeping with Kate, and ended her relationship with him. Will goes missing, is assumed kidnapped, but in actuality had run away. Lucas and Will moved into Sami’s apartment to create a stable environment. She and Lucas began growing closer. In winter, they went away to a cabin where heavy snow caused the roof to fall on Lucas. Sami went for help, found EJ driving down the road trying to leave Salem. EJ forced Sami to have sex with him in order for him to help save Lucas. Sami and Lucas finally made it down the aisle when Sami was pregnant. What she didn’t tell Lucas was that the baby might be EJ’s. However, Kate manages to have Lucas learn what happened that night at the wedding reception, by arranging a slide show showing EJ & Sami in the car, from a police camera. For once, Lucas stands by Sami’s side and they go off on their honeymooon even after Sami admits the truth about what happened. They honeymoon in New Orleans at Maison Blanche, where they find letters in Italian, signed by a DiMera. The letters revealed the root of the DiMera/Brady feud. Upon their return home, Sami learns she is pregnant with twins. (After the twins are born, it is learned only one is Lucas’s child and the other EJ’s.)
EJ manages to threaten Sami’s family, forces her to divorce Lucas and marry himself in order to save her family from the wrath of the DiMeras. She only agrees after John Black is is killed by a hit and run driver. She stays married after EJ admits to Marlena that John Black is actually not dead, but being held prisoner in the basement, and also admits to Sami that he is not in danger of being deported, he paid someone to impersonate an immigration officer. Once Sami realizes that many of the reasons she has stayed married to EJ have been lies, she divorces him. However, shortly thereafter she realizes she is pregnant with his child. The night she goes to tell EJ about her pregnancy, she sees the Mayor murdered outside of the DiMera mansion and she is placed in witness protection.
During witness protection, she meets Rafe Hernandez, the FBI agent assigned to protect her. Originally there is much friction between the two. This eventually turns into friendship and then it becomes romantic. They have their problems, but work together. Sami ends up going to a convent to seek refuge and find someone to adopt her baby. Nicole learns about Sami’s pregnancy, manages to convince the nuns to take Sami to Dr. Baker’s clinic when it is time for her to give birth. Nicole then switches babies, takes Sami’s baby home to EJ while Sami takes Grace, Mia’s baby, whom Nicole delivered.
Whent the Mayor’s killer was caught, Sami was able to return home and be reunited with her other children. Grace contracts meningitis, and dies, Sami remembers what problems happened when she tried to hide Will’s true paternity from Lucas, tells EJ that Grace was his child, but the baby switch is eventually revealed, and Sami is reunited with Sydney, her bio child.
Sami and Rafe married November 24, 2010, after Sami shot EJ because he was going to take her children out of town so she couldn’t find them. They were already in love, but by getting married now, Rafe would not be required to testify against Sami if the shooting were to go to trial. After Sami, EJ, Nicole, and Rafe worked out a custody agreement for Sydney and Johnny, EJ became jealous of Rafe being in his children’s lives, and decided as he should be the only father-figure in their lives. EJ and Stephano managed to create a Rafe-look-a-like and get him up-to-speed on Rafe’s life so that he could step in and ruin Sami and Rafe’s marriage. Rafe2 did his job and drove Sami to want a divorce, but then deception was revealed. Sami was reunited with the real Rafe, and together they were determined to have the DiMeras pay for what happened.
