In the Teen Loft, Claire is talking to Tripp on the phone before she goes to see Theo. Ciara comes in with her key, scaring Claire. Ciara announces she's moving back in. She is doing so despite her endless hatred of Claire, who is always trying to take things that belong to her. Despite this hate, Ciara feels that it would be preferable to living with the dictatorial Hope.
In Sami's room, Eric says Sami should have called him, they could have approached Will together. Sami was handling things, she claims. Eric cradles her as they talk about their tendency to trash rooms and she recaps her attempted re-murder of Will. She feels he's being too hard on her, while forgiving everyone else, and she tries to eject him from her room. He won't go, she breaks down again. He assures her Will is still Will, she frets, back and forth as he tries to comfort her, and she lets slip that she did something last night that was bad. But not as bad as her attempting to recreate her son's murder. He manages to comfort her without learning her secret, and she starts on about Nicole. Eric flees to return to work, but they still love each other.
In Paul's room, replay of Will surprising Paul with a kiss as Sonny approaches the door. Sonny knocks. Will answers. Sonny wants to know what Will's doing here, Will explains he wanted a non-sugar-coated version of his life. Sonny is upset Paul told him, Will exonerates Paul. Sonny admits they have much to talk about, and will do so, but now he needs to talk to Paul. Will says he and Paul are in the middle of something. Paul says they're done. Will thinks it's interesting that they have different perceptions of this meeting. Paul boots him. Sonny will be in touch, and Will doesn't doubt it.
In Theo's hospital room, Kayla overhears Kate asking Theo for forgiveness and asks Kate what she owes Theo. Kate evades, lots of blah blah. They're still waiting for a specialist for Theo's condition. Kate says money is no object, and wants Kayla to keep her posted. Kayla has questions about Tripp. Kate claims that she agreed to keep the Vitali money a secret (seriously, like that hospital board in debt to the Kiraikis and the DiMeras would give a fig) and rejects to Kayla's interrogation. More blah blah. Claire arrives, Kate bolts. Kayla tells Claire the specialist will be here tomorrow. Claire tells the comatose Theo that Ciara's back.
In the Square, Tripp is waiting tables after ending his (brief) conversation with Claire. Steve wants to know what Kate DiMera has on him. Tripp trips up trying to explain it away, Steve doesn't buy it, warns Tripp that Kate is bad news and pressures him to fess up so [Steve] can protect him. Tripp resists, but caves and explains how Theo and Kate each came to him to keep a meeting he walked in on secret, and how Kate blackmailed him using Kayla's guilt (over protecting Tripp) even though he was prepared to face the music to get him [Tripp] to hand over Theo's phone to her [Kate] so she could delete her messages (voicemails and texts) before the cops got the phone. Steve deduces that Kate is responsible for Theo's being at the warehouse. Steve vows to keep Kate from getting away with it while assuring Tripp that Kayla will be safe.
Back at the teen loft, Ciara has a delusion of Theo reading his letter and declaring his love. She declares this is what could have been, and smashes a picture of Claire and Theo. Later, she goes to the hospital and overhears Claire apologizing for their fight right before he left to be shot. Ciara asks Claire to leave, Claire begs her to come back. Ciara says that she just got to town, but Claire's had lots of Theo-time since the shooting. Claire doesn't want to upset Theo, so she acquiesces, and asks Ciara not to be a *bleep*. Alone, Ciara laments that she wasn't with Theo the night he got shot, because they would have been hanging out.
Back in Paul's room, Sonny tells him, "I can't allow you to keep hoping. We're done." Paul thinks for a moment he mis-stepped, perhaps with Will, perhaps in Memphis. Sonny says that those things don't affect it. It's not fair for Paul to wait, even though he is willing. Sonny loves Will, whether he remembers him or not, and he wants to be married to him. Sonny apologizes, hopes someday they can be friends. Paul doesn't want to be Sonny's friend, he wants to be his husband. Sonny says he already has a husband; Paul asks what if he doesn't want to be with you. Sonny is willing to wait, and even willing to accept that Will may get back his memory and not want him. It's in Paul's best interests to move on. Sonny leaves (slowly). Cue reaction pans (Sonny in the hall, Paul forlorn on the edge of his bed).
In the Square, Tripp sees Claire, asks why she left the hospital. Claire recaps the Ciara fit, but Tripp is distant. She apologizes for leaning on him too much, but before she listens to his problem, wants him to know Ciara's moving in.
By the Nurses' Station, Kayla tries to re-start her conversation with Kate, to no avail. Steve comes up behind them, lays slowly into Kate about how guilty she must feel re: Theo. Kate flees. Steve tells Kayla he wants to tear Kate's head off. Kayla wonders what's up, Steve says they have to talk in private because openly talking in public got them into trouble in the first place.
Back in la-la land, I mean Theo's room, Ciara lays the blame for Theo's shooting not on the DiMeras, nor JJ, but on Claire, because she hid the letter that would have prevented her leaving town. Ciara vows to make Claire pay for what she did to Theo.
Eric goes to the Townhouse to see Will, who does not anticipate getting along with his mother's twin.
In her hotel room, Sami gets a call about someone. She asks if "he" is alive.
