I am still finding it hard to believe SoapNet had to fold. Between old shows and current repeats, I probably watched that network 10-20 hours a week. In fact I might not be watching Days now at all if it hadn't been for SoapNet's same-day reruns, which ended up drawing me back into the show during the Parker umbrella story.
Why another network (*cough cough NBC*) hasn't thought to try it - even online - is absolutely beyond me.
Yes they do, and that'd be a cool idea. The problem is (as I think more about it), ABC owns their soaps, but NBC doesn't. A Sony-owned network would be an easier sell.
