Days of Our Lives - Friday, Oct. 25, 2013

Today JJ got his wake up call. I hope he understands now
drugs are bad.

I think one day JJ will have to tell the truth what happened
in order to help Daniel out. The stuff going around today
about him and Theresa was bad. Then Daniel shows up wet.

I thought it was great Abby told Cameron and Chad off. That
she didn't want to see either one of them again.

OK, that scene of Hope introducing herself as Detective Hope Brady and telling the nurses their conversation was inappropriate for the workplace. It would have been hilarious had the nurse said detective are you with the gossip police. That was just ridiculous. If Maxine isn't lecturing the staff about gossip who's Hope to be doing so?

The JJ-Theresa stuff is the only scene I saw on youtube from today's episode. It's interesting that Daniel said Theresa was in her late 20's. This makes all her action worse. She hasn't grown up, about to bed a teen, complaining about her parents. Just being a brat at and age where she should be at least headed towards more maturity.

I'm guessing this whole storyline was a plot point to make JJ love Dr. D. However, it was a very dumb move by Daniel. There is no way he can keep up the lie. How did he get in Theresa's apartment if she was unconscious? I guess people can assume he was already there when she passed out, but that would imply he probably saw her taking drugs. That would definitely hurt his career.

The DOOL writers are really making me mad. They clearly have a few favorite characters and couples, then hurt every other character to make their favorites look better. It's becoming really apparent now. Sadly, none of my favorite characters align with the writers, so I can give up all hope of them not being ruined (This is indirectly in relation to the treatment of Jack's memory and what Cryin4days said).

I was looking forward to future Lucas storylines but now I'm worried about what they'll do to him, in the name of EJ and Sami propping. (I just watched the scenes from yesterday with Lucas and Sami. I loved Lucas's lines because he was saying everything I was thinking about Sami believing Stefano.)

Daniel could have just arrived, Theresa let him in, then passed out.
But yes, I think Daniel protecting JJ is all to make JJ change his tune about the surfer dude, and he may very well do so. But that won't change MY tune about the pairing of Daniel & Jennifer, which I truly dislike.
But then......Days doesn't have any pairings that make me go YES! o.k. Maybe Will & Sonny. And I did like Maggie & Victor....before she got to be nosy busybody again. Put her back in Chez Rouge, please.
But Brady/Kristen, EJ/Sami, Abby/Cam or Chad, Gabi/Nick, Kate/Rafe...they all fall flat. Big time.

See I think I'm the only one not completely in love with Will and Sonny. They have their cute moments, and I like Sonny more and more. But Will just doesn't work for me. And I really wanted to love Will because Lucas and Sami are one of my all-time favorite DOOL couples. However, I have many complaints about Will, which I won't rant about here. I think Sonny could do better than Will. But of all the remaining couples, Will and Sonny are the best one compared to everyone else. I'm kind of liking the idea of Jordan and Rafe, but haven't seen enough to truly want them as a couple. So as of now, there is no couple I'm pulling for. And normally I would say the couples aren't what make a show, but for soap operas they kind of do to some degree. Just like fairy tales need happy endings, soap operas need good romances.

@js that would be a big error!

@mandieB I think it was implied it would have been his first time, even though he denied it. I kind of like them too. But Bev is already a pushover. So JJ would just use and abuse her. So don't want to see that.

I thought Abigail looked and sounded exactly like Jennifer when she was screaming at Chad. Freaky! And Jennifer does have nerve asking Dan anything.

So these writers give us a huge "reveal" with Eric and Nicole on Wednesday and now they are off the air again. And we're back to Rafe being on once a week. I'm not even touching that bogus Sami-EJ-Will dialogue. Is it too early to start marking Christmas wishes for this show?

Not that I give a hoot about Abigail, Cameron or Chad at this point, but......by the time she was through with her rant at both the guys, I was thinking they were the lucky ones, to be getting rid of her! True, Chad was a big jerk to pull the brain tumor stunt, and Cameron was too boring for me to even try to think of a way to express my thoughts about him. But Abigail acts like she thinks she deserved to have them each pining over her and squabbling over her for however long she might have reveled in being the center of attention.

Despite everything, this could be Theresa's lucky day. At long last, she is the Love Doctor's patient, and he'll see her fetchingly clad in a genuine Salem University Hospital gown. As Kate, Jennifer, etc. could tell her if she was conscious, this is the first step toward a physical relationship. As for Abigail, she should be more cautious about her self-righteous rants. In case she hasn't noticed, there aren't too many straight guys her age in Salem. If she doesn't watch out she'll be reduced to seeking a relationship with the likes of Rory. Finally, Sami appears not to have noticed another big change about Stefano. In addition to mending his ways, he's actually providing security at the DiMansion. She and her smoochy-moochy can now cavort in their love nest without being rudely interrupted by gun-toting Phoenix-haters or assorted Salem busybodies.

Interesting, isn't it, that though Stefano has "changed," he continues to live off a fortune of money gained illegally, through manipulations, crime, cruelty, violence and murders. I don't guess that counts, though, when you are becoming a better person? He can still wield his power to "influence" people's lives for the better, pay for bodyguards, etc. Even EJ, who has been taken down to his knees by his father, continues to lie and play dangerous, manipulative games; he has already issued threats to Cameron, Lucas is soon to be next, etc. I'm sure you can think of plenty that EeeJ the Sleeze gets away with.

Theresa could have been having problems, called Daniel for help, left the door unlocked for him and then passed out before he showed up. Easy.

Seriously.. Abby is such a drama queen.. Cameron didn't lie to her and he certainly didn't force her to stroll to Chad's home and bed like a horny rabbit.. Stop with the self-righteousness and the blame game!

In her defense, she was wearing a very nice blouse.

No need for Theresa to be killed off.. All she needs to do is get her act together and deal with whatever life's conflict that is driving her to the path of recklessness!!

I will support your position, IF Theresa stops tossing her hair.

I watched the show (part of it) on SoapNet last night, and I could swear that what Daniel said to the medics was...."in her 20s", as he was rattling off all the vitals and instructions in the apt. as they were getting her strapped onto the gurney.

@js that would be a big error!
Having Shawn Christian (Daniel) make a mistake while taping and saying Theresa was in her "late 20's" isn't a big error (if it was mistake on his part). The line might have actually been "she's in her early 20's". And since they only do one take, it wasn't a big deal. Or maybe the writers screwed up. Either way, it wasn't a big error.

I don't care if Theresa dies, and the triangle of Chad/Abby/Cameron is still boring.

EJ is delusional if he thinks Sami wasn't in love with Rafe and Lucas, and was miserable when she was with them. That's EJ's ego talking.

If Stefano was really a changed man, he wouldn't cover for Kristen when the truth about what she did to Eric comes out.

Luckily Dan has the call from Theresa's cell phone when JJ called him. He can just say she called him, sounded out of it and he rushed over to see if she was ok and found her passed out. No harm done and he comes out a hero.

Jen had some nerve asking him how he knew where Theresa lived and why he was there. It is NONE of her business. I used to love Jen but she gets on my nerves now.

And speaking of none of your business...who does Hope think she is reprimanding those nurses and throwing the Horton name around?

I bet Kristian Alfonso (Hope) really squirmed and did some eye rolling when she got that script. Definitely not the way Hope operates, but.....evidently the writers had her supposedly fending off any gossip Jen might walk in on, but it sure did fall flat.
