What will Sami do?

At times, Sami is all out for revenge on EJ and, at other times, she seems to be softening toward him. Will she take him back?

(This poll is not about what you want to happen or how long it may take; it's about where you think the writers will go with their golden couple. That's why I only put two choices.)

Sami can’t trust EJ, and she knows that. She knew it for years, and has been reminded once again of what EJ really is.

Unfortunately, I don’t believe the writers realize this is an abusive relationship so they could have Sami forgive her rapist again, and get back together with him.

@SnowFoc but don't you know that Elvis is so hot and sexy? I think whoever, is in charge, has a hard time separating that as good looking as James Scott ( EJ) is. His character that he plays is still a vile, vile man. Who has not paid for squat and the character actor having a pretty face should not justify it or him not being held accountable for long because past and the present writers did address what he did and called his crimes as such as they were by the characters on screen. But the higher ups I firmly believe were the ones behind all the whitewashing and erasing everything between them to make them viable and have what he did to Sami come off like a "deal" which would be more acceptable to believe had he not used threat of force with a deadly weapon. That's why that "deal" excuse never worked for me that they later tried to depict it as or that Sami had a choice in accepting his help or not.. Only problem is that did not work and even with, Oh yes, this "golden ratings chemistry" that they have together. I wish I could be as optimistic as you are but I digress. I cant bring myself to believe that the end result for these two will be any different then the last eight years have been. I will go to the corner now.. didn't mean to go off on a tangent here sorry!

If any of this mess had been up to me, Sami would never have willingly crawled into EJ's four-poster.

KathyLu--I really hope that what I stated is what the writers do; however, after her talk with Caroline and Johnny's reminder of Abby and EJ together, I believe that Sami has "seen the light" about EJ's true character and won't be fooled by, even her, "he's changed" mantra anymore!

As much as I would love for Sami to destroy EJ, I would settle for Sami realizing this is what her life and her children's lives would be like with EJ. Sami can't trust EJ, and he will always lie to her and betray her. Therefore, Sami should end things with EJ, try to amicably co-parent with EJ, and Sami should provide the stability and security they will never have with EJ.

But knowing the agenda for the current IIC, it wouldn't surprise me if she came to the "realization" that she doesn't want him to change. She actually wants the lying, rapist, murdering, blackmailing, abusive, jerk at any cost to her and her vulnerable, impressionable young children. Sad thing is that there are truly millions of women still caught up in this endless cycle in real life.

The writers will have her forgive him.
The fans, from what I see here only, are split about this.
In reality, if this ever could have been real, he would have been prosecuted for rape years ago. Or, if we overlook that and just judge this current situation, she wouldn't forgive him. He's broken her heart, and it's over.

TIIC still don't get how unpopular this couple is based on ratings and fan reaction. Yet they continue to keep Alison Sweeney(Sami) especially front and center. This is now way after they would have known the fan reaction to the EJ/Abigail affair yet Sami and EJ are still married with no discussion whatsoever of an annulment. Very telling if you ask me.

Nope, not enough time. Fan reaction to EJ/Abby was evident in January/February. They already were filming July, and also they already knew that Alison Sweeney would be leaving, and also James Scott as well (Sami & EJ). It is all over the mags, the TV, the internet, and is no secret or spoiler any more.
Plus, they already had all their scripts/story done for 6 mos after that. Remember, they have already filmed November sweeps. or are in the middle of it. The show truly needed to take that month off as they were just too far ahead.....but anyway, there is nothing the show can do at this point about the reaction to the EJ/Abby affair.
