The fallout from the publication of Will's article continues. Sami is asking EJ to help her, that the board is all upset, he has to help. She begs, pleads, insists. EJ listens quietly, then tells her that he has been waiting for this day, when she would come to him asking for his help. "Go to hell", he says. Sami does more pleading, EJ quietly tells her the article would not have caused this much damage or have all these repercussions if Abigail's name had not been revealed. He figures she gave the name, she admits she did, once again, calling Abby all kinds of names, and saying she did not want to let her off the hook. EJ tells her that she had already taken care of Abby privately, but that was not enough. Nope. EJ tries to take the blame, Sami is vicious about Abby again, and EJ tells her that she was not satisfied with getting revenge privately, she had to go public, not thinking at all of the effect it would have on the company. She starts talking of their children, their legacy, he cannot let it be destroyed. He tells her that one thing he learned from his father was to keep business and private stuff separate. He mentions fake Rafe. She is insisting that EJ has to help, that they will be going down. Nope.....you & Kate will be going down. He gets up and leaves.
Will opens the door to an upset Abby, who reams him out but good. He really tries to explain what happened, and how her name ended up in the article, but she honestly barely gives him a chance to speak. She finally tells him she is not a whore, she did not get paid for sleeping with EJ, but how much did he make for what he wrote. He tells her $3000.00. She notes that with inflation, that would equal about 30 pieces of silver. She hopes it was worth it, and storms out.
Lucas talks to someone on the phone, wanting to know what he can about the editor at True Vista. He is at the club, and then talks to Sonny, surprised he is there, instead of with Will, who has to be getting all kinds of flak. Sonny says no, Will is all excited aboutTV interviews, etc. But Sonny sits with Lucas, talking of the article, but then Sonny stops abruptly, tells Lucas to talk to Will. Lucas rightly figures that when someone does that, it usually means Sami is involved. He leaves, gets a call, learns Victor owns True Vista magazine.
Abby's turn to talk with Sonny, moaning about Will, wondering how Sonny felt when he read the article, complaining that Will never told her, and why use her name. Sonny goes on that Will never named her, was careful that her name was not to be revealed. Abby says that is impossible.....no one else.......Aha. Lightbulb. Sami. She takes off.
Lucas goes to see Will, who is in no moon to get another dressing down. Lucas only wants to help in any way he can, is there to support him. Will says he has to take care of his own problems. Lucas mentions Victor, Will is taken aback to learns Victor owns the magazine.
Lucas leaves, Sonny comes in...has something to tell Will. But Will has something to say to Sonny...when are you going to stop treating me like a child?
In the park, Brady, back from a run, has taken off his shirt, and there stands the smiling Kristen, so happy to see him, been a long time, but she doesn't care how long. Brady is tight-lipped, and not happy to see her. He lets her have it, first mentioning her kidnapping Daniel, are her goons around to do the same to him. Oh, that was a misunderstanding, she purrs. Sure, replies Brady. Getting beat up just a misunderstanding. He tells her off, about raping Eric, drugging him, lying to Brady about how Eric seduced her. He goes on about his sinking into alcohol, drugs, and bad hookups.And goes on about his father, and how he is in a coma, from which he will not recover, that Brady tried money to get doctors, but there is no hope, and in effect, he has killed his father. He is done with Kristen, doesn't want to ever see her again.
Eric is sitting with John when Nicole arrives. He is short and abrupt with her, and intends to leave. She mentions Will's article, how her boss wants her on that story but she refused, could not hurt Eric any more. He still leaves.
Roman meets up with Marlena at the Pub, to tell her of Kristen being freed, and yes, the judge probably was paid off by Stefano, but he did order a ankle monitor. Marlena calls Eric, tells him to come over to the Pub, and learning Nicole is there, says to bring her. When all 4 are together, Marlena inquires as to them testifying, what they said, and lets them know Kristen was freed. She has tried to call Brady to no avail, so they decide to go looking. Roman goes one way, Marlena another, and Eric a 3rd, leaving Nicole.
Eric goes to the Kmansion, Henderson says no one is home. Eric is leaving a note when Nicole arrives. He is a bit rude to her, but she can tell from they way he looks at her, that despite hating her, as he says, he really doesn't know what he wants. He shoves her out the door.
Lucas runs into EJ in the square, with EJ in no moon to trade barbs with Lucas. However Lucas tells him that it was his son who wrote that article, and that EJ had sex with his niece. Lucas then mentions that Victor really got him this time. EJ is puzzled, Lucas pleased he actually knows something the DiMeras don't, and tells him how Vic owns True Vista magazine.
Sami gets a call from Mr. Shin, and does her best to assure him all is well, EJ will call him, everything is fine, they are on top of it all. She hangs up, grabs her purse and opens the door to leave, and there stands Abby. S...L....A...P!!! Abby delivers a good one across the cheek to the astonished Sami.
Brady runs into Marlena in the square, knows all about Kristen being freed, told her off, she is gone. Marlena wonders where she is. And there is Kristen, in John's room, looking at his chart. She sits down next to the bed, asking John if he can hear her. And tells him that it is funny, she had no intention of coming to Salem, and then there she was, not knowing what she was going to do. But now, she knows exactly what she is going to do.
