Days of Our Lives - Tues., Oct. 13, 2015

Thanks to Poirot, for the summary, and to all for the thoughts and comments.

So maybe, just maybe, I will watch. I have been watching more than ever lately, hardly pushing the FF button. The show is so much better now, indeed. I watched yesterday, but today, I had no time. I did DVR (is that a verb now ?) the show, but haven't watched it. Because at the end of yesterday's show : there was Sami. :rolleyes: And I'm sorry to say I cannot stand this character, I never could. Those who know me here are aware of this, I made no secret of this.

Still, I know, Sami needs to be there since her son has been killed. But I was so very, very tired and annoyed and frustrated with "The Sami Show", I cannot believe I have to endure seeing this character again on screen. And, maybe I could stand it, but the way she walked in yesterday in then end, almost like a queen, I just couldn't stand it. So I will try not to let my hatred for Sami prevent me from watching. But from what I read, I may not like it at all. So if I get this right, Sami is kind of numb, not realizing what is going on. To me, it's like the "cone of silence" in a tornado. But I'm afraid soon, screeching/yelling/accusing Sami will be back. And that, I will not watch.

Let's hope I'm wrong...

I felt the same way about Eeej after the you-know-what, and he became our leading hero. I predict great things for Ollie.

Hear, hear! They talked about Kate but no sight of her. And she truly loved Will - he may have been the one person whom she genuinely, unselfishly loved.

Did it ever occur to anyone else that Lucas and Gabi should stay together? That way neither would be alone and they'd both be there for Arianna.

I actually fast-forwarded after the second Ben/Chad scene. Too much fighting/violence and blood. I love the Scream movies but I never look at the screen during the gory parts. Maybe somehow my fast-forwarding message will reach the writers...and we'll see it in 10 months. LOL

Otherwise, good show. I agree - not as strong as yesterday, but I'm giving it time. It's still just a few hours since Will died.
 
I found it interesting that those flashing red and blue lights in Ben's apartment disappeared when the cops showed up. There were there when Chad arrived, and I think they were there during the fight. I didn't notice at exactly what point they went away, but while the cops where there, the lights were gone. Then, after the cops left and it was jut Ben and Abby, they were flashing again. I am probably focusing too much on a small detail, but I just think it means something!
 
you all should be aware there were stunt doubles for both men during that fight. The direction, camera work & editing were terrific, making it hard to tell when the doubles were fighting or when it was the actors.
 
The way Rafe was looking at Ben... I really hope that he at least puts Ben on his radar after this. With Chad in a coma, the investigation could come to a stand-still. I hope that Rafe (and Hope) use this time to pursue other options, instead of just waiting for Chad to wake up. Now, if Ben happens to kill someone else while Chad is in the hospital, that would give it away. Ben would not plan to kill anyone, of course, now that Chad is in custody. However, he very well may be going off the deep end, and I wouldn't be surprised if he committed another crime of passion. I still hope that Rafe is able to keep his open mind about who the murderer might be.
 
That is Andre', not Tony. :) I really like how Rafe observes, asks a question or two, just accepts answers, observes, taking it all in, sifting through it all in his mind. When he said "necktie" to Hope, I thought then that he was asking because of how badly Ben beat Chad, but I guess he was asking because if Chad was really the "necktie" killer, he would have brought one with him.
And I honestly do not think Ben would have been smart enough to order those ties using a DiMera account. But, who knows. Ben is revealing a lot of different facets about himself that no one ever suspected.

The fight scene between Ben and Chad was EPIC! The music and everything. I never in my 20 some years seen soaps had I ever seen such a successfully staged fight scene. Bravo to both Ben and Chad they did a amazing job acting making it seem very realistic. The fight was well rehearsed I was impressed.

Sami is going through the shock stage in Will's death......but I think she boiling inside and stewing in so much hatred right now. It seems like Sami is more angry then sad. With EJ she was a emotional wreck. With Will however Sami was solemnly quiet.....the kiss on Will's forehead seemed just not like Sami, I think Sami is about to lose it soon I feel.

That fight was way too realistic for me. The actors certainly portrayed the hate between the characters. Now that Sami has reacted to Will's death, she will meaner than a snake!!!!!

Completely agree. My initial thought was Ben is too dumb to do something like that himself. Plus we know he is a hothead who seems to be acting on impulse. So planning this far in advance seems a bit out of character for him.
 
I agree about the heels, but every cop show, the women dress that way. I always thought Kristian Alfonso, Hope, wore heels because she's only about 5' 3". Anyway, That's what Peter Reckell, Bo, said. I've seen her and she isn't all that tall.
Just remembered, when she was first back, she wore tenners and flats.
