A HISTORY OF SALEM PETS:

Will post the complete "Salem pets" history later this week. In the meantime, any guesses as to who are the three most-featured pets in "Days" history?? Two are from the 1990s and one is from the 2000s. Post your guesses here and talk about your favorite Salem pets!

Max, Bonnie Lockhart's dog? He seemed to get a lot of screen time when he was on.

Pookie, Nicole's dog?

Max, Pookie, and Calliope's dog that got married...I think to ...was it Neil Curtis's dog??? LOL

Then there was that cop, Brian Scofield, that had a dog...he left town with Ginger.

Hmm, was Horton the tiger a pet? LOL

Yes, Martha and Reggie! I believe it was a "shotgun" wedding, since Martha was with puppies!

Sort of!! Doug and Julie bought him from a rag-tag circus or zoo, brought him to Salem as a present of sorts and named him Horton. After he got loose and mauled Tony (Andre), then tried to have Sami and Lucas for dinner, we've never seen or heard of him again. He's probably living in the green park-like areas around Horton Town Square.

I only remember Calliope's dog and Pookie.

This news just in....Horton apparently has his own place in Salem.

I'm going to guess Vivian Alamain's entrance into Days of our Lives. She walked into the Alamain Mansion after shooting someone who was attacking Lawrence and she had a panther or cheetah.....i think it was one of those animals.

I also remember Ruth Buzzi as Leticia Bradford in the 80's with a lion.

Pookie is number one pet. it was sad when Pookie died.

I made lots of banners with Pookie.. here are some pictures
of Pookie. I made a banner for Easter and put a hat on her.

I think Hope had a pet rabbit that ended up having some sort of disesse that made Hope very sick.
My vote would be Bonnie's dog Max and of course Pookie

At least we do not have to think back to DOOL and have the Urangatang that they had on Passions.. He was a smart little dude

I believe you may be thinking of Greta on The Doctors. She had a pet rabbit that had been used for lab experiments at the hospital and it bit her and made her sick.
