"A Place in the Sun"-- 1951

Is on TCM tonight (Tuesday) at 8:00 EST. I had to buy the VHS a few years ago; the video stores had never heard of it.

Are you kidding? THAT is a fantastic movie. Liz Taylor, Montgomery Clift, Shelley Winters...I have not seen it in years, but can still see certain scenes in my mind's eye.

I had to read the book in Lit class; absolutely loved it, and the movie!

Am guessing that it was a very young clerk in the video store that never heard that title! LOL

Shelly Winters was a main reason that I fell in love with movies. She gave a flawless performance in 'The Poseidon Adventure!'
I'll have to watch 'A Place in the Sun.'
