Interesting. I had never heard of or thought about soap operas in other countries or of them being available to watch from the USA, other than the Latinos, Hispanics, or whatever term is used. But the other day I was watching a renovation show on HGTV, where a Chinese lady was buying a house for her mother and grandparents. She said her grandmother's room didn't need to be very big or have windows because all she does is watch her Chinese soap operas. At one point she called them her "stories." That made me smile as I thought how some things are the same in different cultures.
