Like I said in the other thread, If she's just doing the Christmas and nothing else, I'd rather have Cady McClain return full time. Jennifer is needed full time (as full time as some people are now). As long as we have have Jack, we need Jennifer.

Evidently the gal who talked with her did not press her about any other appearances, as Missy volunteered the info about appearing in Christmas episode on her own.
This was an appearance by Scott Reeves & his cousins, singing ...maybe a fund raiser or something, in Columbus, TN. So was not really a "fan" event, but Missy was there to cheer her husband (& their daughter, Emily) on.

Given the delay in casting (which exceeds that of writing and of filming), it's not impossible this still could be the case. She got a lot of good notices for her portrayal.
